Beware "Classic"...
The waist on these "Mid Rise Classic Skinny" Levi's was higher than typical mid-rise jeans and they were overall baggy in the hips and thighs, felt awkward and uncomfortable and looked like jeans from another era -- and not in a good sort of "retro" way. So, I say beware any of the styles with "Classic" in the name.Consider the following a Levi's "meta" review and a bit of buying advice. I'm a Levi's longtimer. Been through some other phases, but have always come back to Levi's. However, as many reviewers note, Levi's fit and sizing seem to be all over the place now. I've tried on all sorts of styles, sizes, and colors from Amazon (13 pairs ordered and returned this round), from the Levi's website, at Levi's stores, Macy's, JC Penny, Kohl's, Target and Walmart. It seems that the way the jeans are named, the fit and the sizing vary depending on where you buy them. Some stores even have their own lines, like Walmart's "Signature" and Target's "Denizen". On top of that, jeans within the same style are made of varying material combinations (related, it seems, to the color) which impacts how each pair fits. And, I'm not sure about this, but it seems like all styles are made in various countries, and where a pair is made can create a variance in the fit and sizing. Overall, I think this has served to "water down" the Levi's brand and deter brand loyalty as, for me personally, I can no longer recommend them across the board without reservation.I recently discovered the "Jeans Guide" on the Levi's site which provides very specific details for each style including, not just a detailed description of the fit, but the exact inches of the waist height and leg openings ( (although only some of the many styles available in other stores and other websites are in the guide). By comparing the pairs I own and love to those, I was able to figure out generally what styles might suit me, but then what I ended up liking varied greatly depending on the material / color combination. In the end, I've done a whole lot of ordering, returning and trying on to get just one new pair of Levi's that I am reasonably happy with. So, my advice: if you're new to Levi's, if buying online, you probably want to buy pairs with free returns and, depending on how much you enjoy going to UPS drop-off centers, if you're really hankering for Levi's in particular, consider shopping in actual stores, old school style. If you're a longtime Levi's lover looking for a new pair, forget your love affair with styles (and even sizes) past and look closely at the specs for the pairs you're considering and then same as above: try them on in a store or buy online with free returns.

Not the same cut...
I wanted to replace a pair of mid rise skinny jeans I purchased a few years ago. Loved them, and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the new mid-rise skinnies are not the same cut. These fit like leggings, with the bottoms hugging the ankles. If you like jean leggings, then go for it. I wanted jeans with a narrow bottom, not jean leggings.

Favorite jeans
I am 5'10" and 175 lbs, I wear a size 10 pant so I ordered 10L. They fit me like a glove. I disagree with other reviewers, while these do have some stretch to them, they are not like jeggings. They are much sturdier and more comfortable. I've also purchased the signature skinny jeans by levi, which are half the price but much less comfortable. The signature skinnies are definitely more like jeggings; they don't breathe well and are generally tight in all the wrong spots. Rather than smoothing your figure, like these jeans, they smoosh. If you're debating between the two, get these instead even though they cost more. You'll be much more comfortable.Signature: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077R7QT71/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1These also are not cut like true skinny jeans, as they have plenty of room at the ankle. To me they fit more like straight leg jeans. The levis straight leg actually fit more like bootcut to me. These are definitely my favorite jeans and a wardrobe staple. Highly recommend. I just wish all of the colors came in my size.

Third time‘s a charm!
I ordered these jeans three times in different sizes and I finally have my correct size. For the Luck Out West color they definitely run large and you should order smaller. I’m assuming different colors have different fabrics which contribute to varying sizes I own in Levi’s jeans. These jeans run large because the material is very stretchy. Also the stretchy material is so comfy! They are the most comfortable jeans I own, I can sit criss-cross no problem! I’m 5’10” and have 40” hips and I first pair I ordered was 29 (R) and they were way too loose and very short (which usually I don’t mind ankle pants, but these ones have a tiny flare and they look awkward if they are short). Next I ordered a 28 (L) and length wise they were great but still too loose. So the third time I ordered 27 (L) and they are still a relaxed fit but perfect for me (from the thigh I can stretch the material out about two inches and about 1.5 inches from the waist. Also for those concerned with authenticity. When you order from third party sellers you are risking getting fake Levi’s. Buy jeans that say shipped and sold my Amazon and you will get real Levi’s :)

Good for big belly, slimmer hip/thighs
You have to look at the fiber content of each color of these jeans. I chose one that has less cotton, and therefore is much more giving. The Luck Out West has a lower cotton ratio, so it really does allow you more room for movement. I have a large stomach and slimmer hips/legs, and these jeans were perfect. Unfortunately I recently gained weight, and needed something I didn't have to squeeze into, and these are perfect. I worried that the hips on the size 33 would billow out, or the legs would be cut too large, but they were just right, and I am thrilled. Most pants when they hit size 14 or 16 will end up having too much room in those areas, and cut you around the middle. These don't. Perfect if you have more belly fat than leg/butt fat. Best online clothing purchase I ever made as far as fit goes. These probably (?) adjust for many different body types, except those with tiny waists.

Difficult to determine proper sizing
It is very difficult to determine the proper size using their size chart. It is also not possible to order a specific length meaning you get surprised upon arrival. I ordered size 46 expecting W33 L30/32. What arrived is W32 L30. It was too small. Next I ordered size 48. What arrived is W33 L28. The width fits, but the length is too short. But, I decided to keep them and wear them rolled up as ankle pants. It is a problem that length can't be determined. After my first pants that were too small, I wrote BIXME three times specifically asking them if I would be able to get W33 L30 or 32. Each time they responded they did not directly answer my question. I was simply told I could send the pants back. So , even though I have a pair that will work in the end, the experience was frustrating.

Exactly as stated
Really happy with these jeans. I bought three pairs and there aren't any discrepancies in cut or fit between the three of them. The new dying technique are also awesome, I had dark blue jeans that dyed my legs blue when I wore them and these jeans don't do that at all. I would say zero dyed transfer. If I could have the perfect pants though, they would be heavy cotton, instead of thin/medium stretchy material.Make better lady pants Levis.

Inconsistent sizing
I used to love the mid rise classic fit skinny jean and could always count on turn fitting me exactly right. Not any more. These fit like a boyfriend jean. I don’t know why they’ve become so inconsistent in their sizing but, when you’re ordering on line, consistency in sizing is really important.

Not what I ordered
As you can see they are nothing like the picture - thin like paper and totally different shade of blue denim then I ordered- I bought a black pair before and was pleased they were real denim not this crap and now I have the fun of returning them- waste of my time and money- I’m 😤 😡 😠

Additional piece to my fav jeans.
Haven't have Levi's long time and I was curious what is changed the last 10 years I weared them. Well...what can I say? It is Levi's. Combine quality , look and comfort. Some thing just never change. Only con is that the zip is gold..but hey..who will notice? 🙃Ps: it is classic..I love that it is skinny but does not look like I wearing leggings.
