Perfect fit for Toyota filter housing with good quality & performance.
Finally.... Well, I went through several brands and variations and most were inaccurate in the measurement for Toyotas. They were either too tight or too loose and the one that grabs on to the plastic filter housing would damage the tabs on the housing. I finally decided to try this one and, Wow, night and day difference. Perfect fit for Toyotas. Tested on my Tundra, Camry and Rav4 and worked like a champ on all 3. You got use a ratchet and extension or the best way in my opinion a ratchet with a socket to loosen and tighten. Overall very satisfied with performance and feels top quality. Love the color combination as well. Definitely recommend.

MOTIV X TOOLS oil filter wrench is a MUST HAVE for any DIY persons toolbox!
This tool is very well made and fitted properly for the job. I have a 2025 Toyota Rav4 and also a 2018 Highlander and I just changed the oil on both of them. It's great to have one tool that works equally well for both vehicles. The design is perfect for the Rav4 because there isn't much room on the sides around the filter and when you consider that they come from the factory with the oil filter torqued far beyond what is necessary to discourage the average DIY person from even attempting what should be easy. This tool makes the job a breeze and is well worth the price because of the quality.

Functional Toyota (Lexus) oil filter housing tool at decent price!
Functional Toyota (Lexus) oil filter housing tool. Used on Toyota sienna (2015) and Lexus GX 460 (2015). Like a charm.Or housings were not uber-tightened so can’t speak for durability of tool when trying to remove a gorilla torqued housing. Feels sturdy at least.Note this is the “newer style” without fin indents, and supposed to prevent breaking fins on plastic housings.Tip: buy oem metal housings onlinenor from dealer. Better than plastic.

German Engineering Tolerances, Made in USA
Wow, this is a precise fit tool. I did two oil changes on a customers Lexus NX300's and this sliped over the filter housing with german tight tolerences. I felt really confident using the tool and that no damage would occur to the customers car.

Strong Enough For A Full Bore Leg Kick
This oil filter wrench is worth every cent. I needed to do my first oil change on my new to me 2013 Prius. Oil previously changed by the dealership. This filter wrench was a perfect snug fit. I was using 3/8 drive ratchet with the car up on jackstands and blocked. No matter how hard I pushed that filter cover would not budge. There was not enough room for a cheater. Well your leg muscles are stronger than your arm muscles… I grabbed a solid part of the under carriage and pushed, no go. So I gave the ratchet arm a couple of full bore kicks and finally the plastic cover started unscrewing. (I had a spare cover on hand in case I cracked the old one.)So first off the filter wrench/socket would not have stayed securely in place through all this if it hadn’t have been a perfect fit.Second I probably would have broken a cheap wrench/socket.Third it is a beautiful piece of equipment.I speak with about 30 years of industrial multi skill maintenance under my belt. I know the difference between junk and quality tools.

Pretty resilient. Held up to a tough job!
[Update] 2024-04-08: I’ve found that a 12-point, 24mm socket cup fits best on the red hex/nut attachment. A 6-point, 24mm socket is too snug and doesn’t go on. A 25mm, or even a 31/32”, socket cup has too much play. I’ve tried a 12-point, 24mm on both my original 2022 product and 2024 product. Mine also only fits a 3/8” drive. Not sure if there’s a 1/2” drive variant being sold, as of late.[Original Review]: Used this about 3 times and I must say.. I had my doubts about how it would’ve stuck up against an over-tighten/seized oil filter housing (on an ‘07 Sienna), but it prevailed. As another reviewer mentioned, high-torque jobs will have a better result by using a socket cup (I used a Williams brand 12-point 24mm socket cup) to grip onto the red nut looking section. My Craftsman, impact rated, 6-point 1” socket cup was slightly too big and my Proxxon Industrial 6-point 24mm socket cup was slightly too snug. So, perhaps, the red nut’s size is a 25mm or even a 31/32” (will update my findings soon enough 😅).Granted I purchased this in November of 2022, I will gladly purchase another since I rounded out the 3/8” notch. After a grueling 12+ hours of snapping two 1/2” F to 3/8” M impact adapters (Duralast & Westward), playing with an assortment of breaker bars and cheater bars (1” steel pipes 🤣) and trying to warm up the oil filter housing by idling the engine with the used oil that I had already drained 🥲, I was finally able to get the oil filter housing to loosen up (without damaging anything – hopefully 🙃) and change the filter. My main gripe with this product is that the red nut part of this 14 flute, 64mm, oil wrench thingy (lol) is secured (mostly) by a snap ring (as seen in the images). Which, with enough force, wanted to fly off of the red section with every strong turn push/pull.. If the snap ring were to pop off, I don’t think the red nut would separate. Maybe the red nut would spin continuously and would not provide enough/any leverage.. Not sure though. I tried everything in my power to prevent that snap ring from lifting up too far – even trying to desperately use a metal-to-metal vacuum sealant. I don’t think the sealant did much, but it managed to stay together after each snap ring adjustment.I think the product stood up well enough to warrant another purchase.. This time the new one will be for the intended torque and my original purchase will continue to take the abuse until it kicks the bucket. Much better than a frail, welded nut one I got from MotorZone. The hex nut part snapped right off the oil wrench part under pressure (the weld looked subpar at best though). So, who knows if welded or snap ring is better (maybe both lol 😅 #Overkill). #MadeInTheUSA 😁Any who, I’m feeling lazy and tired. Hopefully this review reads well and there are minimal grammar issues. Happy oil changing and best of luck!

Made in USA Quality Filter Wrench
This cartridge filter wrench came packaged like a gift from the do it yourself gods. I read the reviews before purchasing and I am not disappointed. This filter wrench fit perfect on my wife’s 2018 Toyota CHR. I know it fits many other models. No slip and it does not get stuck. I waited till I actually got to use it today for an oil change. Quality part. Made very precise and works great!!!
