I needed something that was easy to pop into my backpack but didn't take up much room and wasn't heavy. This fit all of my needs and it's so cute!You simply open it up to reveal the 12 watercolor paints, 5 paint trays, brush, and water bottle. But wait, there's more! Remove the water bottle and you'll discover that both ends have 2 cups to fill with water that conveniently clips on the side of the tray. There are also additional paint trays on either end giving you a total of 11 paint trays.I found this more than enough when I want to trek out into the forest and capture some of the beauty in a watercolor. It's also a great price for what all that get and you can replace other colors that you use more frequently easily.

It is designed really well. Easy to use. The water bottle is great and the small water containers are enough to make small paintings. Enough palette space for mixing paints. Colors are good too.

This is an exceptional field kit design. The only thing you need to add is subject matter and something to paint on. The palettes are drawer-like and easy to clean for the most part. The paint is typical WN. The water bottle and cups store nicely in the kit. When assembled as designed the dimensions for the kit are approximately the width and height of a slice of non-artisan bread. Depth-wise, think 2.5 - 3 thin slices.

How wonderful it is to finally use watercolors that aren’t chalky! I love using these in combination with colored pencils and inks. They layer beautifully and I have a lot of control on a smaller scale. The portability is a huge plus, and there’s pallets on pallets. HUGE recommend.

What I don't like about this set is how difficult it is to keep the half pans in position when painting. Even though there are little tab like protrusions to hold the pans. As far as everything else. I like the design. I'm ok with the colors paints it came with. I like the 12 spaces for pallets. I like the idea of a water container and 2 water wells. Which can be placed in 4 slot places. Its a very durable plastic design. The brush that comes with it is small. I only gave it 4 stars because of how loose the half pans sit in it.

I just love this kit, it is the perfect size for my art when I’m traveling, it is all inclusive except for the paper and I have that. If you do watercolor journaling when you travel I would highly recommend this kit!!
