Remy’s smile says it all. He loves it so much. I’m still surprised he hasn’t been able to demolish it like he’s done to all his other balls. I love that it’s too big for him to accidentally swallow — this is my main concern for any ball. It feels as tough & durable as it is. The lights & loud squeaks make it so much fun for us both, and unlike some others, they still work after a month. My fave thing might be that the material isn’t so sticky that it’s hard to keep clean — given the spikes, it’s actually pretty easy to rinse off.I don’t mind that I don’t get to pick the color — glad the seller lets this be known. I’m buying a couple more to have a few tossed at one time for him to fetch, instead of Remy just running back & forth for one ball — he certainly has the energy to chase several at once.

At about the time of my dog’s 8th birthday, I felt discouraged when I noticed a change in his playing habits and he seemed bored with most of his former favorite playthings. At a younger age, he played for hours until he exhausted himself, and then after a deep and lengthy nap he would resume playing with his toys.His indoor playing time had decreased even though he was in perfect health. He does not have any arthritis, and he does not have any aches or pain, he was just mostly bored with his toys and after about 10 minutes of playing, he would walk away, stretch out and lie down. He seemed to have lost his interest in chasing after a ball, and I was getting desperate to find something new and completely different to end his daily lethargic existence.These Gnawsome squeak and light balls have re-captured his interest as something completely different that he had never experienced with any of his other toys. Currently, he has several of these squeak and light balls and in two sizes, the medium 3.5” and the larger 4.5”. There are a variety of colors with different color flashing lights. Both the medium and the extra-large size are suitable for larger breed dogs like my Old English sheepdog. The large dimension guarantees safety that he will not accidentally swallow and choke, because they are too big to slide down his throat.What makes this squeak ball unique is the addition of a flashing light, as this is something different that he had never experienced with any of his toys.As he mouths the ball, a light inside the ball starts to flash with color. When he sees the flickering light he then drops the ball and he stares and watches and perks up his ears. When the flickering light stops he bats the ball around, grabs it in his mouth and tries to squeak and flash the light again. It’s obvious that the flashing light fascinates him and he enjoys the squeak sound as he mouths this ball. In addition, the soft flexible rubber spikes must feel good against his gums.In the mornings as I struggle to wake-up and grab a cup of coffee, he is right there nudging my leg with his ball. He drops it at my feet, and starts running down our long hallway in anticipation of the throw and catch game. At night, it’s even better, I’ll turn off the lights and he can easily see the ball to catch it, and the ball lights flicker as it bounces against our hard tile floor.I started his Gnawsome Squeak and Light Ball collection almost a year ago with both the large and the medium ball sizes. He has two Reds, two Greens, and one Blue scattered around our home because he carries and plays with them from room to room. Each color ball has a different color light. The Red ones light up red, the Green ones flash a green light, and his Blue one flickers with both a red and a blue light. The only color that we don’t have is the yellow, but I’m still hoping to get that color too.I am impressed that they have all retained both the squeak and their flashing/flickering lights.These balls are lightweight so they really go a distance when thrown, and the color NEVER comes off on our white woodwork.This is one of the best dog toys that I have discovered, they are unique, durable and the squeak and flickering lights last through his mouthing, and normal playing habits. My dog loves them and they are his very favorite toys. In addition, and these light strobe balls may even work for a dog whose hearing has declined, because instead of hearing a ‘bounce’, the dog could just follow and chase the flashing light.

I used the medium size of this ball for all big dogs. My 70 lb shepherd and our 70 lb standard poodle clients all love this ball. I got this particular one for our new puppy who currently is a 26 lb shepherd but will be 80 lb when she is older. She loves this ball and the lights. This is fantastic holding up to her chewing and it is so helpful with keeping her teeth clean as she chews because of the spikes. I highly recommend this ball! It seems to be a hit with every dog!

I have bought almost 100 balls thos yr many lost of course many made of bad ma r equals where you leave em outside in one rainstorm and sunny day they become brittle etc. This ball is on the larger size making it perfect for my full size dog. It's easier for her to pick up the bounce is fun as are the loud squeak toy and lights . It's also easier for her to recover in bushes n grass . Well done

Yeah... my dogs get jealous when we bring home toys. We had to put it away. Havent got it back out.

3.5 would be best for a bigger dog. I have a small to medium dog. I would definitely buy this ball in a different size. Love it.

Haven't even had it for 24 hours, maybe an hour of play time and it already stopped lighting up

With have seven large dogs, several who are ball dogs including a ball destroyer, and I can't believe how long these Gnawsome balls are lasting!!! They are real favorites among the pack. When I saw my first Gnawsome ball, I thought I had made a mistake since it felt so light and "flimsy"...and oh yes I hate squeakers and I would have bet that it would be in several pieces by end of day...(i.e. KILL THE SQUEAKER!!!) However have now purchases 7 of these balls over the past month since they are making such an impression on us as dog owners and the dogs are having a ball with them. I think the knobby spiky feel to the ball helps the dog not chew them apart and they are fairly squishy and they do not seem to get a real hold on them to tear them apart. We had both the oval Gnawsome ball but that one did not last the day unlike these round ones. The squeakers last a lot longer in this ball than in other dog ball toys, maybe because the speaker is internal. This is the first of our "light balls" which changing colors and its hilarious to watch one of the dogs run around with a flashing light in their mouth. When got the parcel with this Gnawsome ball in it, one of the dogs could barely wait for me to open it since he knew their just had to be one of his favorite balls inside. Will be stocking up on more of these Gnawsome "round" balls and hope the quality and durability continues. Gets a high five paws up from our pack.Update: Day 3 light ball is still intact as is squeaker but the flashing light when bouncing no longer works :( However the dogs still like these Gwawsome balls and I can save myself a few dollars by ordering the regular ones without the flashing light feature....though it was a lot of fun playing fetch when it gets dark. Wish these Gnawsome balls came in "glow ball".

Only one was really brightly lit. The other did light up but was not as obviously bright. Freight costs are very high too which makes for expensive dog toys. They are a delight for my pet dog who loves squeaking balls with coloured lights.

My pup’s favourite ball, has lasted many months, and shows no signs of wear. He usually destroys a lot of his toys, not this one though. Will definitely buy more!
