Terrific sprayer, great adhesive
I purchased this product after calling 3M to ask what the best product would be to glue the vinyl sides onto the doors of my car. This definitely did the trick. Spraying the glue onto foam made it easy to do as I didn't have to spread the glue and disrupt the dried foam. The spray of glue comes out fan shaped, so it doesn't spray all over and is easy to direct where you want it. It gets tacky enough to stick, but leaves you enough time to work with your materials to get them into place. It did soften the vinyl and make it a bit stretchy, so I was careful when pushing it into place not to stretch it more. After it all dried, the vinyl tightened up nicely and stayed in place. I am now waiting for the really hot weather to see that it holds up through that. All in all, this is a great product. I was very pleased.Follow-up Post: 6 months later, after going through the hot weather, the vinyl peeled right off the door!

High Quality?
Yes it is. I just finished a set of foam and seat covers on bare frames for a Triumph TR6 car. Worked excellent. Drying time was perfect. Adhesion was great.

Spray Adhesive
This is the quality brand to buy in my opinion. This spray needs to be used in a well ventilated area like your garage with the door open or even outside. The fumes are very strong, but this spray really sticks. I use it for quilt backs to batting and then to the front which is much easier than crawling around on the floor. You can adhere things for upholstery also. A good product that works.

Still does the job
I’ve used this 3 M products for 30+ years. It does the job but not as easy as it did with the formula 30+ years ago. I’ve tried other products and this current formula is still the best on the market. Just remember to let it soak on the surface you are spraying a little longer than what you might have in the past.

Sticking Around
Great quality. I have been using this product for years. Always Always get the Super Trim adhesive over the General

Incorrect instructions
This is the recommended product for adhering car hood insulation. . . however the instructions clearly state to use in temps 65 or above. I used it on a 66 degree environment and the product DID NOT adhere the insulation to my old Benz car hood (despite the fact that I spent several hours on prep work) . A very frustrating experience, more so when getting through to 3M for my issue proved impossible. I now have an empty can of failure, and am in for a big delay, until temps get to 65 degrees again. I know 3M is better than this product proved to be. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Great glue!
The left door panel was loose and this reattached it and still attached good.

used with foil insulation under transmission tunnel
sticks well on foil insulation under transmission. Spray foil and transmission, let tack for about 30-60 seconds press pre cut pieces into place. Cut all pieces first for whole job. stick pieces up with tape temporarily. Don't try to cover too many compound curves with each piece. You will see if they conform well at this stage. If they form well, they will stick well. Mask edges to avoid overspray. Fan of spray is fairly wide.Only time will tell if it stands up to the heat of the exhaust. If you are doing this trying to seal the seams with the foil tape is a pain, it doesn't flex well, if youget finger prints on it, it adversely affects the stickiness. Next time I would go for sealing with high temp sealant in a tube.
