Honestly I love how long lasting this is, I had stopped buying it from Amazon and was buying it at my supermarket until they stopped supplying it, so I'm back to buying this on Amazon, no other brands like it... I tried another I thought was good and was swarmed by bugs at work.. came to realize this detergent repels bugs somehow very strongly for me. Since switching back to it, even with the hot temperatures in summer right now, the bugs stay away and I love it, For what its worth I got the Lavender one , I didn't notice if there's other scents, but the Lavender one repels insects for me, As for cleaning its actually very strong even with such a little cap, and if you use too much it causes issues since it needs to be rinsed thoroughly, so half a cup isn't just recommended, its kind of mandatory... which means it lasts exactly as long as it says on the container, Other brands I had to use more just to get them to clean, and it caused bacteria overgrowth from left over unrinsed detergent, This one has no issues, so thumbs up from me.

UPDATE 10/24: I am so disappointed that Better Life has apparently stopped making the unscented version of this detergent! And yet they're still selling the Lavender Grapefruit detergent. How hard can it be to just NOT add the scent?? It's very hard to find liquid laundry detergents that are unscented and don't contain harmful chemicals. I'm really not looking forward to spending hours and hours trying to find another. This one was perfect! Please bring it back!!!I looked high and low for a laundry detergent that wasn't filled with harmful chemical cleaning agents and mystery fragrances, and I was so happy when I found Better Life. This is a truly unscented laundry detergent, and all the ingredients are pretty gentle and hypoallergenic, especially as compared to mainstream store brands. I've been using Better Life for about a year now, and I haven't had any bad reactions. The detergent seems to wash any unpleasant smells out of my dirty clothes but doesn't add a "fresh, clean" scent because it's fragrance-free, which is fine with me. (They have scented versions if you prefer that.) I know it does its job because I've watched the sudsy water draining out of my washing machine after the wash cycle. I hope Better Life never stops making this excellent unscented natural detergent!

We usually purchase the unscented version for our children and the EWG rating. We tried this scented style because the unscented leaves our clothes and especially towels and stretchy waste bands smelling! This lavender grapefruit scent is a little better and still a good EWG rating. I love the concept, but it just didn't cut it after about 2 years of using the unscented and lavender grapefruit. Adding vinegar to the loads helps.

I have gone through a lot of detergents and I research them a lot with EWG before buying them as I want something safe. I have found this cleans really well (both the unscented and scented) and lasts a good while and with a baby we are always doing laundry. I don't find that my clothes have any smell, even biking or without gear, I haven't noticed more stains sticking around and I feel good about using this. You'll know when you wash a mask in the winter and they don't smell! The lavender grapefruit is nice, it's not overpowering and it smells like real lavender with a hint of grapefruit which therefore makes it but so floral. The only negative is that it's a little expensive but Amazon is where I've found the best price as of now. I'm happy with this and my search has halted. I would recommend trying a bottle and if you love it then subscribe for a shipment and save a little more!

When I was pregnant I bought a dreft detergent to wash all my baby's clothes but right after dreft changed the nice scent detergent and I didn't like the new version. Since I bought better life cleaning products for my cleaning business I decided trying this detergent just for my baby clothes and I loved it. The only thing is if you order straight from their website takes longer to arrive but it is a bit cheaper.I had the pump from my previous detergent, because this one from Amazon didn't include one.

Overall this is an OK detergent, but it fails to clean the dirtiest of clothes. My search of a natural / safer laundry detergent has not finished. If you want more natural biodegradable detergents (and you feel better to not be tested on animals), I suggest trying this to see if works for you.For me it works best for colored clothes, lightly soiled (just normal wear). This detergent keeps colors vibrant, darks dark and works well on delicate clothing. But I don't find it helps dissolving dirt and stains, especially the most difficult one; my kitchen towels and cleaning rags are left stained, although they look bright.I have used this detergent with same results in both cold and hot water.I tried using more for dirtier clothes, didn't help. Using the recommended quantity will still help to do more loads and not waste detergent.I use it on my standard top loader; at first (when the water pours) it does a lot of suds, but during the wash cycle there is barely any foam.The lavender grapefruit scent is OK, but it doesn't linger after drying; I do prefer my clothes not to smell of laundry detergent, so for me this is not an issue. I'm not keen on lavender, but the grapefruit scent helps the scent being more pleasant (but it doesn't matter since it doesn't linger).I have sensitive skin, this didn't caused any irritation.After I stop using this laundry detergent I also started noticing more static on my clothes; so I supposed it helped a lot with keeping static off my clothes.

I like how this detergent doesn't require as much to wash compared to other brands. The smell is nice but I did notice clothes can't sit very long while wet. Great clean alternative!
