Color It: Calming Doodles Volume 1 has become one of my favorite coloring books. This book is different from others that I own because it comes with a top spiral binding. This makes it so convenient to color in anywhere. The pages are nice and thick, and they are perforated for easy removal. Included in the book is a blotter page to put between the page you are coloring and the ones behind it.Another great feature of this book is that there is a copy of the cover page to color and a title page to color. The designs are hand drawn which gives the pages a unique look.I love working with sharpies in this book. The pages take the marker well and because of the thickness I am not worried about bleed through. I also have briefly tried gels pens and colored pencils, they both work well also.The designs have bold lines with patterns inside of them. You can chose to color easy by covering a section of pattern with one color or you can take more time and color the pattern within the section.Great booking and looking forward to a volume 2 when and if they make one!!

I keep filling the pages and order this book over and over again. There's nothing else as good as this product.Donna Doyle

This is my first "adult" coloring book and I love it! As you can see in my attached pictures, I've experimented with lots of colors (I use gel pens). There is one with 2016 SuperBowl team colors, Mardi Gras theme (purple, green, gold), and a few multi-color including one in progress. My absolute favorite is the one with the pink flower in the center - I think the colors work perfectly together.Coloring is very soothing for me before bedtime, so much so that initially I was staying up way later than usual just to color! I've had to develop some willpower to be able to stop and go to sleep - I guess I'm addicted... here is why:-Thick pages so no bleed-through, although a special page is included that you can rip out and use to protect the next page if you wish (I've never needed to use it.)-Cool designs. I actually like the thick black lines!!-Spiral bound at the top and the cover is hard cardboard, so no need to put anything under the book for stability while I'm coloring on the couch.I certainly plan on purchasing other ColorIt books when I'm finished with this one!

These books are almost perfect..almost. I LOVE the spiral for lie-flat use. The thick cardboard back cover is VERY sturdy to lean on. The thick, perforated paper is an absolute joy to work with. The designs are a great variety of loops, flowers, etc. that look great when finished. The pages have an ultra-smooth coating that accepts color wonderfully. I've used colored pencils, gel pens & paint pens on these books. And the photos above were done w/a 12 pack of Sharpies in the "Electro Pop" color pack.That brings me to my only complaint... The THICK BLACK LINES. Please, on the next book, give us some thinner lines so we'll have more color, less black. Plus, when you run, say, a yellow or light pink marker across the black, it tends to get a little moist and muddy up the lighter colors.I have the full size & travel size and enjoy both. I use the smaller perforated pages as thank-you notes /postcards.I'll keep buying these books, but I did want to request some thinner lines, at least on some of the designs. Otherwise, I'm thrilled. These are still among my favorite books.

Love love love it! The paper quality is the best I've seen. Every single page is a winner and one I want to color. It is a thick cardstock with a shiny smooth surface. It's so easy to color on, regardless of your coloring tool. It colors just as nicely with pencils as it does with markers. Doesn't leak through at all, even when using Sharpie markers. Easy to color on your lap because of thick cardboard front and back. They protect your pages from getting soiled and they don't get bent. Every page is perforated for easy removal. Colorit continues to make new coloring books and products. I have three books so far and they are all the same high quality. I highly recommend this brand of coloring books. Yes, this book is one of the more expensive ones out there. But, you get 50 designs to color and the quality of the book and the paper is well worth the cost.

The paper is very thick for use with marker pens, it doesn't go through at all. Using colored pencils is fine also. Most of the lines of the designs are on the thick side so one doesn't have to be too careful to keep within the lines if that is a concern, which I imagine would be for most people. It's easy to color in and is relaxing and enjoyable to use. Most of the designs on each of the pages are similar, there is not a lot of variety but that doesn't bother me because on the whole, I like this book so much. Being spiral bound make this book comfortable and easier to use than a regular paperback, which is a big plus. This is a high quality book I would recommend.

I will be returning, the product itself is very durable, and thick paper. However - it has quite a lot of black content on every page, I liked what I saw from the reviews..but it’s pretty heavy on most pages.

This one has the best paper for markers!
