Hurley Men's Dry Out Drifter Walkshort

These are great shorts. The material is very nice and the quality of the construction is very good. I bought them in redwing and I really like the color, it gives me something interesting to wear rather than kahki but its not overly bright.As others have said the cut is pretty slim which works well for me but probably not for everyone.I had high hopes that I could put on a nylon belt and wear these interchangeably as shorts/boardshorts for swimming. Summer means quick dips in pools all the time and I liked the idea of not needing to change. Alas they don't work great for swimming, the material is on the thick side (for board shorts), and even with the nylon belt I found myself grabbing and adjusting constantly when swimming. The quick dry fabric is pretty good, I got out of the pool on a hot dry 92 degree Texas day and they dried well, but not as well as I hoped.This is not a knock on these shorts, they are advertised as walk shorts not hybrids and they are great for that. They are comfortable, well made, and will dry quickly if you run through a sprinkler, or dump a water bottle over your head. If you're in a pinch and want to swim they'll work, but if you're planning on swimming pack the board shorts or get some true hybrids.

My Husband likes the shorts and color, he has same style in different color, but these are way too big. They are supposed to be a size 32 but on closer inspection I find the tag has been removed so I can't confirm. Unfortunately these were a Christmas Gift and unusually cold Florida weather delayed him from trying them on...too late to return. The price was reasonable but the sizing seems to be off, held up to same style short with a size 32 tag intact, these shorts are at least a 34.

I love the material used in these types of shorts - they just last forever. The only thing that is surprising is how modern sizing works. If I put a tape measure around my waist where I wear my shorts, I am just over 35 inches. So ordinarily I would think 36 - a little loose, 34 - a little snug. I order these size 32 and they are just a touch loose on my waist. It seems to be the same for most clothes nowadays. (I also were 32 in Levi's and need a belt.) I really wish clothes were accurately sized so I could be more confident ordering online.The shorts are great and I think they will last a long time. They fit "as expected". I've had this problem before and now order my waist size minus 3-4 inches.

These shorts fit so great they can be worn without a belt, and can easily be used as swim trunks if needed. They dry out quickly and are quite comfortable. Plus, they make my butt look good, which isn't too hard to do but is a nice feature. I do wish these had the extra little coin pocket some of the other Hurley's do, but I can't complain.

I got these because I live in a post-apocalyptic desert climate and I needed shorts that can be comfortably worn in triple digit weather. They did not disappoint in this regard. The issue is they "swoosh" when you walk, when you move, when you fidget. They are a noisy pair of shorts, due I'm sure to the space age tech fabric used for wicking away the gallons of sweat pouring from my body.

I saw these at my local department store, but they didn't have my size so I ordered them via Amazon.. they look like nice dress/golf shorts, but feel like board shorts.. which is great - very breathable, lightweight material.

This was a purchase for my teenage son. He loves this brand and the prices at the mall are much higher than with Amazon. I recommend this purchase, for the fit was perfect and the quality superb.

Nice shorts, good material, they are just a regular fit whereas I would prefer a slimmer fit with a tapered leg. They should really include this type of information in the description.
