Perfect for soothing sore feet!
I'm a running and yoga addict. I find myself consistently dealing with stiff and sore arch muscles from the repetitive motion of running (typical of runners with fairly high arches.) This stiffness is the worst during the first month of running season and the impact is felt most when I'm doing standing poses during yoga. Warrior 3s and other one legged poses really amplify the stiffness and lack of foot flexibility that running introduces to my body! Standing and balancing on one foot for more than a few seconds becomes painful.I've found relief rolling my foot on tennis balls after a long run. "Mandala The Yoga Massage Ball" takes the relief quite a few steps further. They have much less give than a tennis ball, so you get the effect of a deep tissue massage and it's easy to regulate the amount of pressure and the location of the pressure under my feet. The end result? After incorporating the use of the Mandala balls during my post-run stretching, my feet feel a great deal less stiff during my yoga routines! I still feel some stiffness, especially after super long distance runs, but the use of this product has gone a long way toward alleviating the issue. One other sidenote: using tennis balls under my feet after every run also had a very undesirable effect - super stinky and sweaty tennis balls. The Mandala balls don't appear to absorb any odor and they're super easy to clean and dry. Given how much my feet sweat, this is a nice side benefit. :-)

One of my best post-work out purchases!
This is probably one best things I purchase so far this year for personal massages and post-work out! Sometimes if I miss a work out or strain my shoulder due to office (computer) work, I get these massive kinks on my upper shoulders. I spent a lot of money on massages and/or hogged my cousin's fancy massage chair to release my upper back kinks. I looked up at home remedies, and online tutorials suggest GOLF OR TENNIS BALLS. The problem with that is that majority of the material of those balls are not smooth enough.Anyway, These Yoga massage balls are smooth, soft but definitely firm. I looked up some YouTube tutorials for Yoga ball self-massaging using a yoga mat. I do these stretches and motions almost everyday or every other day, it really helps. They come in a pouch where you can leave them in there for neck support. It's awesome that it comes in pairs to help with the circulation with both left and right side. Very unexpectedly awesome, I'm a fan and really happy with this purchase!

They work and are very good quality!
They work. I have converted to a standing desk and have been almost exclusively standing for the past 2.5 months. I am really enjoying standing most of the day, but noticed that I was having a deep hip ache after sleeping. It had gotten to the point where I was seeking out massage therapy. Well, I found these massage balls and thought I would give them a try first. I am not against massage, but wanted something I could do myself and that would fit into my busy lifestyle. I am truly pleased with this purchase and recommend to anyone else who may be suffering with knots and tension. I will sometimes put my weight against the ball and lean against the wall to get to some spots on my back and that may well work for you also. Don't expect to not have any feeling of bruising or tenderness afterwards. You will have this, but give it a few days and work on those sore spots again. I have been able to sleep better and wake up without a deep ache in my hips which makes me happy and able to remain standing which is better for you anyway.

Great for tight muscles
I have a buldged disc in my lower back which is the root cause of many surrounding muscles to lock up after I work out. In particular, my hip flexors and psoas muscles are always tight which causes pain bending over and back upright. These balls are so simple, yet so effective. On a thick yoga mat, I lay on my stomach with the balls under me on my stomach a couple of inches on either side of my belly button. I stay in the position for a few minutes then gradually move the ball to another spot and do the same. Eventually, all of the tension is released. I've also laid on my back with them underneath on each side of my spine. They're awesome working out kinks in the shoulder blade area and neck. I don't know why I didn't buy these sooner. Whenever I experience pain, I know that using these balls will solve my problem. Highly recommend.

Nice quality massage balls
I really like these massage balls. They're much better than using tennis balls. I just wish they were a little less firm. I have chronic neck & shoulder pain & I tried using them while laying on my yoga mat & I couldn't handle it. I've had some deep tissue massages before & this was way more intense. So the only way I can use them is standing up against a wall & it's kind of tricky to do that without dropping them. They do what they're intended to do though & I did feel some relief. I just think it would be better if they offered some slightly softer ones too. It would also be nice if they came with some information on different uses instead of having to go to their website. They seem like a great company though & were great about emailing me when they shipped & then later to make sure I got them.

More expensive but not more effective than a tennis ball
These are ok. Basically same size as a tennis ball but harder than a racquet ball and very heavy. If you like the size of a tennis ball, but want something more dense, less fuzzy, and more waterproof then this is what you are looking for. Don't underestimate the waterproof part - using them in the shower to hit trigger points while also running hot water on the spot is very therapeutic. But, if that's of no interest to you, and you don't mind the fuzzy, or want a little give, then save the money and use the tennis balls. Got pretty much the same relief on my upper back using those.
