Q: Can you use a phone camera instead of an SLR to record / shoot a video?

Yes you can it comes with an mobile attachment and camera cutouts. but please be aware this is hard to set up I was initially going to do a review but haven't got the time yet which i will post on Amazon soon. The instructions in Chinese one of the apps required was misleading and did not work. I managed to set it up for my Mirrorless Camera and got the remote to work but even that had faults & most of the controls were useless. I only purchased because of the price like they say you get what you pay for so be prepared to get frustrated. I would have gave it 2-3 out of 5 star's.

Q: Will this work with a webcam? Thinking about attachment, field of vision and sealing out light (reflections) use a Logitech 922

It is designer for iPhone and SLR cameras. Honestly I don’t know if anything else will work as it has a special attachment and accessory set for the two above mentioned devices.

Q: Can it also be used with an ipad? does it fit on any tripod? would i need anything else but a tripod, ipad, and iphone (for camera)?

yes, it will fit an iPad mini, and possibly, with extra support an iPad normal size. However you will need to reduce the width / margins of the text display as that will help contain the text in the area reflected in the mirror. I have used it with a 7inch LCD HDMI monitor - that does fit the teleprompt. I increase the margins by 10% to get the display reflected.

Q: Does it works with an action camera with wide angle of 170 degrees or will the side panel be in the way?

No it will not work - I can't think of any teleprompters that will work with a GoPro or action camera. Horses for courses.
