Language debatable.
Not sure which language he speaks. Sounds Japanese or French. The spoon was missing from the box . Will give it a try as it's my granddaughter's birthday present. Might teach him some Welsh.🤔

Spricht kein deutsch
Leider spricht die Puppe kein Deutsch, was für uns natürlich ein No Go ist, wenn man schon so viel Geld bezahlt. Daher geht die Puppe zurück.

Brilliant It even snores
The doll arrived in quite a large cardboard box inside was a really nice display box holding the doll, a lamb toy, a feeding bottle, a pacifyer and a comb. The doll is very well secured onto the back of a cardboard picture with string and a piece of plastic and took some time to get free. The doll's accessories were also very well secured and took ages to get out of the pack. You need to buy 4x 'C' cell batteries before you start operating the doll so this is added expense. The back of the doll opens with a Philips screwdriver to get to the battery compartment. There are two switches on the back of the doll one says 'a' and 'b' the other On/off. The doll starts to work immediately it is switched on and opens and closes its eyes and moves its arms and moves its mouth when it makes baby sounds and giggles. It even snores when it is sleeping and makes suckling sounds when you put the bottle in its mouth and also with the pacifier. It giggles when you tickle its tummy and repeats odd words. the toy lamb baa's when put to the doll (it also meows which is strange for a lamb). The doll is amazing my granddaughters are fighting over who gets to cuddle it and when it repeats a word they argue who said it first and taught the baby to speak.I thought the doll was quite expensive but the technology behind it is amazing and makes it well worth the money. You do have to buy batteries before you start so if buying this toy for Xmas you need to purchase them beforehand. A brilliant Xmas/ Special birthday gift, I want one myself and I'm well over 60 lol.

Luvabeau Blonde doll
My Mum, who is an avid doll collector, is absolutely over the moon with her Luvabeau Blonde doll - she has named him Joe. Unboxing the doll was quite difficult, he was wired in, secured with sticky tape and tags through the clothing. The four C batteries (not included) were easy to put in - you need a crosshead screwdriver. He was preset to say Mama but you can change this to Dada. Pleased to see pictures of boys playing with the doll on the box. The doll comes clothed: dungarees and a t-shirt and with the following accessories: Spoon, Bottle, Soother, Lamby, and Instructions. He will speak English or French and I do think he tends to have a French accent either way. He’s quite rigid to hold and his head is made of rubber which tends to catch the dust, and may get dirty when being played with by a child. The greatest disappointment is the loud mechanical sound that comes from his movements, this would have put me right off as a child! Quite expensive and I think children would get fed up of it quite quickly.

Very life-like, but weight is a barrier to play
At first glance the product shot of this doll did not appeal at all and it was only after seeing it on youtube videos that I warmed to its appearance and the extra large eyes! Out of the box it is more appealing than I was expecting and after we had untangled it from all the packaging and fitted the 4 x C batteries (which are not included) it made a big impact with adults and children.Unavoidably it does make a rather mechanical sound when it moves, but if you can ignore that the movements and sounds are amazingly life like, it even sucks on a bottle when you give it one which is a really odd sensation and if you catch it out of the corner of your eye when its moving on the floor it does look very much like a human baby.Among its range of interactions it can...• Play peek-a-boo (you cover its eyes and it says 'peek-a-boo' when you take them away)• Say Mama (which can be changed to 'Dada' if you wish)• Interact with its animal toy and learn and animal sound or name• Snuggle (moving more slowly and making cooing noses when held in arms)• Laugh when its tummy or foot is tickled• Make 'silly sounds' or an audible heartbeat when his tummy is touched a certain way• Learn to say more words and more fluent words the more it is interacted with• Eat from a spoon or refuse it when he's not hungry• Take his 'soother' (dummy) into his mouthThe big downside for my 3 year-old which has been a barrier to her playing with it more is that it is large and noticeably heavy. We also have a Baby Annabel who makes noises (with no movements) and is much smaller and lighter and I noticed that although this new baby was taken to bed with her the first few nights after she got it (a sure sign it was loved) it wasn't as easy to play with and when we went out for the day a week after she got it, it was Baby Annabel who was chosen to accompany us and not Luvabeau. She may well grow into it, but at the moment I think the interactive abilities have been appreciated far more by the adults than by the children and I'm not convinced it'll have the lasting appeal to justify its price tag.

Effective in some respects, may not be to everyone’s liking
I found this doll somewhat disturbing (and so did my wife); its face has outsize eyes staring at you. I am afraid it reminded me a bit of Big Baby in Toy Story 3. However, we don’t have a child here at the moment, so this is just an adult view; our grandchildren may feel differently.I’m pleased that it’s a boy doll and that on the side of the packaging is a picture of a boy playing with the doll; it is good that the manufacturers have noticed that boys as well as girls play with dolls as well. The clothes are well made and the accessories are in proportion to the doll; they include a feeding bottle, a spoon, a dummy and a lamb comforter. The doll needs four C cell batteries, which are not included; we have stacks of smaller batteries, but none of these, and we had to buy some to try it out. It is quite heavy for a doll, but I suppose the weight makes it feel more like a real baby than a plastic hollow one (though it might be rather heavy for smaller children). I am not sure how easy it would be for a child to carry it around though. Apart from the mechanics inside, one reason for the weight is the fact that it is a well built doll with chubby limbs which does make it look more authentic.I found the doll’s movements very jerky and it made quite a mechanical noise while in motion, which is off putting. I did not add any words or phrases to its vocabulary, as I think that a grown-up voice would be a little odd coming from a baby doll. The voice could have been made less robotic, but I expect this applies to other such dolls, unless you’re payi ng silly money for them. For the moment, it is sitting back in the box waiting for one of the grandchildren to put it through its paces.

The lovely little baby boy version
ah what fun this doll is...lovely that we have the girl and now the boy too for the twin pramGreat functionality and chat and babble and interaction that makes for an amusing companion for a child in the car-Its also easy to dress and enjoy as a static doll too, and has a very long companion play life with a great deal of variation.
