I thought I knew the basics of the story, but the whole story is more shocking & unbelievable that I knew or even imagined True crime, recommended read

This is a superb book and is also excellent value for money. Everything else I have read or seen on Bundy seems to present a mystery but the authors, who interviewed Bundy extensively, are able to offer well-thought out hypotheses for the reader to consider. They have clearly undertaken extensive research as well as their numerous interviews with the killer. They also have seriously studied the various psychological and psychiatric reports into Bundy. Overall, the book is well written and makes accessible what are quite complex investigative and psychiatric analyses. Plenty of detail is provided about Bundy and his crimes without the reader feeling swamped and confused. This is a must buy for anyone interested in Ted Bundy and serial killers, especially at this price.

If you’re interested in true crime or just Bundy it’s an interesting read but I don’t think it covers anything new about the cases.

There is a fascination with serial killers no doubt about it. This book has been well researched and written by the people who met and interviewed Bundy. They capture the essence of the man. Part naive, part polite and unassuming and part a complete monster. Also from the time perspective before computers the cunning shown in the man of doing so many heinous acts and the complete unawareness of just how menacing and deranged the guy was. A good read if you detach a little from the cold-bloodedness of the man and if the cops had been a bit more clued up they might have stopped him earlier.

I greatly liked the depth and the thorough investigation of bundy & his case. Recommend the purchase though the detailed lawsuit upon bundy arrest have bored me in the middle of the book. I admired how they described the detail escape of bundy & how he survived in that secluded hut. I think lots of efforts have been put into the book. Worthwhile if you already like me interested in crime books. I was absorbed by the book & its writing still to consume it in less than 7 days though pages are almost 400 if not more

The only criticism is that maybe it is dragged out a bit too long but very interesting account of Bundy's life and how his mind appeared to work

Wer wirklich gut englisch kann hat hier ein sehr interessantes Buch zu lesen. Spannend und keine Glorifizierung des Mörders. Fachlich und sachlich ein super Buch. Lieferung war sehr schnell.

Very good insight into the mind of Bundy, and contrary to what others have said, if you know enough about how his mind works, Ted is NOT rambling, babbling. He tells you things wrapped in his own code, and these recordings make that clearly evident, along with the author's personal take on meeting with the "monster". A definite must read for students of psychopathy.

If you like serial killer books then you will love this one! Fabulous read.
