Rugged and capable
This is a very solid bag that can be used for multiple purposes. I use it for a "get home" or "vehicle bag" to keep supplies in that I may need in the event my car breaks down. It has ample room to keep things you need while waiting on help, minor tool kit, first aid, food, temporary shelter, emergency survival kit, etc. MOLLE webbing on the back and sides allow for attaching extra pouches, etc. that you may want/need. This bag also comes with a space between the outer bag and inner bag that you can stash a helmet, shoes, etc. Compression straps allow you to cinch the bag down tight so its not sagging. One of the reasons I bought this bag was the hip strap. This allows for a much more comfortable pack in the event you need to leave your vehicle and begin hiking somewhere. It's not overly padded but it will do a good job keeping the bag from bouncing around.Did I mention the lifetime warranty? Yes, it has that as well. I very good bag for a good price!

Love this thing.
Big ol' backpack. It's a lot bigger than I expected, so it took me by surprise when I started wearing it, because it was a lot bigger than normal backpacks. I got used to it quickly, now I use it almost everyday. It's quality is very apparent, very strong, very handy (its got so many pockets and molle straps). All around great backpack. I plan on buying another once this one breaks (which won't be anytime soon).

Incredible!
SOG is an incredible company. I bought my first SOG Seal Pup (knife) over a decade ago and still have it. I didn't realize until recently that they made other products such as these backpacks. I consider myself a "casual prepper" (not a "doomsday prepper") and I bought this bag to act as a secondary bug out bag or get home bag. I already have a smaller bag that I use, but I wanted something bigger that would act as my addition supplies bag that I could also use for camping. This bag checked all those boxes. It's HUUUUGE. There's no issue of space for this thing. My backpacking bag is barely bigger.- Things I like: The space of course. The options. There are tons of options for organizing, and not just the 1 "front organizer" that you see on most bags. There's smaller pockets and mesh pockets all throughout this bag. I love that 1 of the mesh pockets has zippers on the top and bottom, at first I didn't understand this but then when I opened this part of the bag one day and flipped down this section, it made sense, so that either flipping it down or not, you can access the pouch either way. I love that the main compartment and the smaller front compartment are basically separate with a large gap between that has mesh sides so that you could stuff a sleeping bag or tent or whatever you need quickly without having to take off your bag or open it. The main compartment has about 6 other mesh pockets within it which is great so not everything is just dumped into the main part, you can have some things in these areas while still using the main compartment.Things I don't like: The zippers, they are a little wonky. The small pockets within the vertical side compartments, theyre so tight and flat to the walls that you can barely fit anything in them except paper or cards.Overall, it's the best bang for your buck, especially when it comes to its storage capacity.

Best large pack I have ever owned. Two drawbacks are listed. Will update on durability.
I really like the styling and organizational features of this pack. It is bigger than the pictures shown. Not comically big, it is just a really well designed bag.Today I had two full loads of laundry in the main pack, two battery banks and assorted cords and related charging gear in the front zippered pouch, miscellaneous small stuff in the foremost small zippered pouch up top, sunglasses in their zippered pouch, an admin pack in the zippered pouch behind the shoulder straps, toiletries on the right side zippered pouch, and (which is a bad ass spot to put more zippered storage) paracord in the left. I had more in there, but you get the idea.Stitching is above average, the color came as pictured, and I am very pleased with the product. Two complains I must mention are as follow:The means with which the secondary zippered pouch is attached to the bag is pretty cheeseball. Not a fan of the strap tensioner they chose to use. Can I at least get a buckle like on the "Opord" (which I also own and reviewed)? That alone would have probably gotten the fifth star. The second gripe is the waist strap. Although it is a very nice waist strap, I never use that feature on any pack. Ever. So to have it as an integral part of the pack is a bad call.To compare it with the Opord again, the Opord has a discreet, padded storage slot for the waist straps, and it works beautifully. On the Barrage model, I am going to have to carefully cut these off, because they go right into the main stitching of the whole pack.I must say that, even with those two drawbacks, this pack is a steal at under sixty bucks.
