NPG Sichuan Chili Peppers 4 Ounces, Mild, Used in Mexican, Chinese, Thai Dishes, Premium Szechuan Dried Red Chilies for Chili Oil, Paste, and Sauce

Adds the right sort of prickly taste to Sichuan dishes.

These are now a household staple. I bought the mild pack along with a "Medium hot" which is super hot. The mild peppers are flavorful and spicy, but not melt-your-face-off spicy. Purchased originally to make some Sichuan chile oil, I used 2/3 mild, 1/3 medium spicy. As far as heat level goes, I can use 3-4 mild peppers in a stir fry, but 2 of the medium hot are sometimes a bit much. Will be buying again.

Good flavor & quality! Heat is more mild than what I was expecting.

I just used these to make Kung Pao chicken. They literally had no taste or heat whatsoever. Very disappointing.

I have not yet eaten any of these chilies but they look beautiful in a quart jar. BTW, just to let you know, 4 ounces is just right to fill a quart jar. We how to cook with them sometime this week. 5/7/2021 Update: My daughter made an eggplant and salmon dish (served over brown Basmati rice) and the sauce included some of these chilies. It was divine. A word of warning, if you have a very sensitive mouth, you might find them a bit on the hot side even though they say "mild". My wife did mention that the sauce was a bit on the hot side. However, she still ate the dish, so they must have not been too hot. I loved it and thought it could have used more chilies.

These say they are mild but if you bite directly into one, it's pretty hot. Great flavor and prefect for my needs. Large amount as well.

Peppers were exactly what I was looking for.
