This is the worst quality basmati rice I have ever purchased in my life, and that is something considering I have eaten rice all my life. Every time I cook this rice, the aroma is slightly off and the rice goes stale in almost a day. In fact the rice appears almost yellow in the transparent container. At first I thought the refrigerator in our apartment was bad. Then we moved to a new place that is just fine and this rice still goes stale in no time. The taste has never been great either. Unfortunately I missed my return window within days or I would have returned it. I will return to buying the brand that I always like. Please avoid this basmati brand. I would have given ZERO stars, if I could.

This rice is grown naturally in the foothills of the Himalayas "without artificial pesticides or chemicals". It is free of any pesticides. There are other Basmati rices out there that are slightly better than this one but they are mostly saturated with chemicals and pesticides. This is the only one I have found so far claimed to be free of synthetics. I still keep looking for a good USDA organic long grain, and even though there are some out there, they are very glutenous.This is by far the least glutenous and longest grain chemical and pesticide free rice I have found so far.

Even though this product is organic I can smell the chemicals and pesticides. It ruined my pot when I ignored the smell thinking oh its just me. I couldn't even eat it. This product is made on the foothills of the Himalayas. The Deep rice smells a lot better than this brand.

This would have been a great value had I been able to use it. But it's rancid. This is the first time I've ever had a problem with rice going rancid.I received this order about 2 months ago and stored it in a cool, dry place while I used up my stock. I opened it tonight to use some, and the smell hit me right off as just not right. I rinsed multiple times as I usually do hoping it would get better. Nope, still the same. So I thought I'd try cooking some still hoping for the best. It smelled faintly of pine sol. Bleh.And as I expected, the rice is not edible. 10 lbs of rice just went into the trash.Maybe I just got some from a bad batch, but I won't ever order this product again based on my experience. I'm going back to my previous brand. It might be a bit more expensive, but it's reliably good.

I opened the bag when I received it in the mail, but the rice smelled stale. After I washed it for several minutes, the smell had mostly dissipated. When I got some out to cook a month later, there was a bug...brownish/white creature that was crawling around the top of the glass jar that I poured the rice into. I killed it and washed the rice as usual. I figured bugs are a part of life...but it's been three months since I received the rice and this morning, when I was opening the jar, another insect was in it, but had webbed itself or something to the top of the jar and there were trails/webs of something sticky at the tope of the jar. I washed the rice again for several minutes, but the stale smell won't wash out this time. I would not recommend this rice.

My wife and I had bought a small container of this at a local grocery some time back, but the price and availability has become a problem lately with the CV-19 situation.Came to the 'zon and lo and behold, they have 10 pound bags. It arrived in 1 day, natch, and we cooked a quick pot in the instant pot last night.Wow. Lovely nutty flavor, separate grains, beautiful texture. All a plus.The really big plus is brown Basmati rices generically have low glycemic indexes and this helps my wfe who is Type 2 diabetic manage her blood sugar.Win!

I love rice. Our local shelves are empty, so I searched online for basmati rice. This seemed like a good choice, considering all the good reviews and hyper advertising. It is not good. Nothing about it is good. The texture is weird and It does not ever fluff! Just stays in its original stick-like form. I tried cooking it in several different ways to no avail. It has no flavor whatsoever. Nothing like that wonderful aroma of real basmati rice. This is a total disappointment and I don’t even feel good about passing it on to neighbors! Terrible product.

This is the way all rice should be. I can not eat any other type of rice since discovering this type and brand from India. It cooks perfectly in rice cooker and is even delicious plain -zero added but water -no salt -nothing. That's a good rice!

Rice when cooked splits so the grains looks shorter and bend. There is no fragrance and very chewy to eat.Only solace is that it is brown rice and hopefully has all the goodness of ant brown rice

just as I opened the package the color was realy not nice and no free returndid not taste yet and I don t think I willmuch cheaper at grocery store really not good there's a taste of earthworm to it

Smells musty. Not a nice scent.Cooks up well, but a remnant of the musty smell remains.

A bit over priced compared to other brands but tastes good
