If you are new to growing, this book is a great start. Clear, concise, simple instructions.If you are already a grower, this is an excellent handbook to have on standby.Is all of this info available for free on the internet? Yup. But nothing quite beats having a go to guide on hand, complete with recipes and clear explanations of why you do certain things & use specific ingredients. The more info you have, the less likely you are to take short cuts. Skipping steps and short cuts equal failure for mushroom cultivation. 10/10 would recommend.

This book was very informative. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking to grow any kind of mushrooms. I got this to better understand how to harvest portobello mushrooms on a recommendation do to me having issues with loosing grows to mold. This helped out a lot with a step by step explanation on how to grow.

lots of information for beginners

This book contains a complete step by step walk through of the steps needed to take even a novice grower from spore to harvest. Advanced techniques are also explained clearly, with plenty of pictures as well. It is a quick read, easily completed in a day as there are numerous full pages devoted to picture instruction.Subtracted one star because all of the information can be found online for free, and I did not learn anything new. However, for the person who would rather have a book in hand, this is a great one to get as it is more geared to the novice than most that I have read.

Love it.... Best book on bulk growing i have come across. I have a extensive book collection on p. cubensis and Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide is at the top. Very easy to read and understand. Wealth off information that the home hobbyist can actually put to use and succeed. My only 1 complaint is that it only has black and white pics. Makes it a little harder to follow in contaminants chapter. But don't let that discouraged you from purchasing it.....

Don't bother to buy this unless you plan to grow mushrooms. It covers in-depth factors you wouldn't already know unless you have lot's of trial and error experience. A very concise step-by-step set of instructions. This information is necessary if you want to NEVER buy Mushrooms for retail at the market again.

I liked the book information but without color pictures for reference it’s not as helpful as I needed.

This book is well done. It explains the process very clearly. I would like the pictures to be in color, but I suppose that is a cost issue in printing etc for the publisher/author. Still. Good book. I am ready to give mushroom growing a try!
