Vargo Alcohol Fuel Bottle | 8 oz. Capacity | HDPE Plastic

This is a great lightweight, durable, fuel bottle, I use mine for my alcohol stoves, it holds 8oz which means ( depending on your stove/ weather/wind ) you can several uses/boils out of a full bottle, and its little flip top dispenser is great at getting the fuel to the stove without spillage. I liked it so much I got 2

Bottle came without cap but I reached out to seller and was very quickly responded to and offered a replacement.I purchased this to use with two-stroke motor oil for pre-mixing on the go. This thing is the only fuel bottle I've been able to throw in my rucksack and not be destroyed. Every other bottle I've tried is either too large, melts, leaks, or some combination thereof. It's built like a tank (pun intended).

This bottle's pretty decent. Here's the list:- first it's cheapish which is nice for a single (less than 4 bucks at time of writing.. you can find cheaper if you buy more than one, but for just one, pretty hard to find specially with prime shipping)- then its graduated to 8oz which is nice to know how much fuel you're putting in- then.. well its 8oz. I guess that's the max fuel i'd carry with the fuel stove because you're hitting the point of diminishing returns after that, where a gaz stove has a better weight/amount of stuff to cook ratio. I'd even be fine with a 4oz version in many cases.- then.. well it leaks a little. not much, just a littleSo about the leak:- filled with water and shaking it really hard you can get it to leak a little, which is no good. its not actually the flip top which is absolutely waterproof (easy to test: put some water in it and blow very hard. Nothing comes out. Nada.). It's from the screw top itself.- there is no gasket AND the screw itself is not long enough (trust me i'm an engineer - well okay don't, albeit I did learn this at school, like, 20 years ago)- put a rubber band around the screw top of the bottle (see pic) and screw on, boom, waterproof, you can shake that as strong as you'd likeWith that in mind and given the price, it's a pretty decent deal.

It is supposed to safely store fuel for camping. It does not. It leaks. It needs a gasket in the cap. I haven't put one in yet but I will try. No one should have to do that, it should come with one as this is a simple quality check and should have been fixed before production and sale.

No leaks, transparent, flip nozzle works very well.

Minor problem with product as received but after contacting VARGO they took immediate action. This was exactly what I was needing for trip in n next few days..

This bottle exceeded expectations. It's light, sturdy, inexpensive and seals well when closed. Clear markings on the bottle allow for easy measurement (in ounces). The nozzle produces a clean, accurate stream when fueling a stove or other containers. (I use small 2-oz plastic bottles of fuel--the Vargo makes refilling easy and simple). Not as sturdy or durable as the Trangia bottles, but at a fraction of the price the Vargo is a great option.
