Usually get the Steve’s raw frozen but since I am away I use this for travel not is easy to just rehydrate. Dogs and cats love it.

Good all around blend of meat , vegetables , bone . Extreme convenience . My three dogs love all flavors . Add a bit of warmed filtered water and serve ! All enjoy glowing coats , no tartar buildup on teeth ! Very satisfied

The distinctively pleasant scent of Steve's Freeze Dried Raw Beef Recipe was the first thing that impressed me, beyond the healthy ingredients. It is clearly an exceptional quality, with care and love conceived. Adhering to the instructions, breaking the food into pieces, adding hot water, and allowing sufficient time to thoroughly hydrate the food, when I gave my picky eater, a 2-yr old mixed breed, I watched in disbelief when he turned his nose away. It smelled so good to me, and was mushy, just how he likes it!! I'm not giving up, however, because when I gave him a dry kibble, he gobbled it up, as he did the next several. This is an outstanding food, and though costly, it is distinctive (maybe the goat's milk), and special!!

I feed my dog a balanced and complete home raw diet normally. However, I bought two bags of this to take on a weeklong trip and it was about $75. Nutritionally it has everything needed. Depending on your dog’s activity level, the recommended servings seemed like quite a lot. I have a 90 pound Bernese mountain dog, but he gains and maintains weight easily, and I actually fed him half the amount and he did just fine. I think it would be a little expensive to feed a big dog on a regular basis but it worked out great for travel, I didn’t feel like I had to compromise his nutrition for convenience.

I have a Border Collie with an extremely sensitive stomach. With this food I was able to stop giving her pro and prebiotics, and occasional treatment for diarrhea. I love that Steve's is not just clean but they tell the source of their ingredients. Just because it says "human grade" doesn't make it good. Today's human grade food is poison for the most part. After trying several other expensive products for my girl, I have been happy to find Steve's raw. Her tummy is much better and her stools are firm. Oh, and did I mention that she LOVES it!? Yes, it's pricey, but it is worth it to give my baby the best. There is absolutely no comparison with commercial foods. Lastly, Steve's customer service is tops. Edit: I have removed one star based on the rising cost. In just a couple of weeks—from one order to the next—the price jumped $10! Unfortunately I cannot afford this food any longer and will be forced to buy a different brand or make it homemade. Very disappointing. The cost of feeding a good diet has actually kept me from adopting another dog. :(

My scout loves this food. I feel good about feeding it in his rotation of 3-4 brands. It’s quality stuff. It’s the next best thing to feeding raw. Easy to feed wherever we are.
