Pokémon Crochet: Bring your favorite Pokémon to life with 20 cute crochet patterns Review: Nicely done patterns! - This crochet pattern book is brimming with patterns for your favorite Pokemon. As a request the first one I did was Magikarp. I made a couple of changes/customizations to the finished amigurumi (mainly, I crocheted the eyes and added a button for the pupil instead of using felt). We also did a team effort for JigglyPuff, which also turned out quite cute, but I didn't get a photo before it disappeared to its new home. What I liked about the pattern book: 1. The included patterns have a difficulty rating. It appears that the bases of the rating is the number of different stitches used and the complexity of the pattern, in addition to the number of separate pieces created that must be sewn together, as well as embroidery and added felt pieces that must be sized. 2. Great series of colored photos for each project. There could've been a few more photos for some steps, especially for the embroidered areas of Magikarp, but overall, this was great. 3. Stitch count accompanied each row of crochet. This was beneficial since there was not the normal instructions to crochet the obvious, which was at first a little concerning since it is pretty customary. After the first round or two - no problem. 4. Parts placement instructions for sewing pieces together actually gave reference to which rows on the main body the peripheral parts were supposed to be stitched to. I can't tell you how many patterns give absolutely zero instruction regarding parts placement. So this touch was most appreciated. 5. There are brief instructions in the beginning of the book on how to close the piece, crochet parts together, color switch, create a magic loop, increase, decrease, and do some basic stitches. 6. Increases/decreases were placed in intervals that made stitch counting easy and created a neat-looking spiral. Things I didn't like so much (but is about me and does not affect how many stars I gave this review): 1. The yarn suggested in the book did not have a weight, but did include a hook size. The yarn used in the book for Magikarp was Scheepjes Catona, which is fingering weight and a 2.5mm/C hook. I used HL's Love This Yarn and G hook. It is explained in the front of the book to use a hook a size or two smaller than the suggested size on your yarn to make tighter stitches with smaller gaps. It would have been nice to know the weight of the yarn that was being used without having to look it up to make it easier to know what the size-up ratio would be. Nit-picky on my part. I know. 2. There are templates given on a tiny grid for small parts to be cut out of felt and glued on. I'm not sure how these are supposed to be sized proportionately and there are no instructions. Unless I use the same size yarn, hook, and tension my amigurumi won't turn out the same size as the book's example anyway. (The book does give a finished size for each pattern). So apparently I need to do a little research on how to size the template items. 3. There are "beginner" patterns in this book that I don't think are suitable for extreme beginners, but may be more suited to tenacious beginners with a little crochet time under their belts who are looking for a challenge. 4. I am willing to argue to the ground that Magikarp is orange and not red. (The book calls for red yarn, lol). I do recommend this book and am quite pleased with it. I know my son purchased a kit which included half the patterns and yarn for one project (not-so-great yarn) from a large warehouse club for a few dollars more than this book. This book is, to me, a much better value. Happy crocheting! Review: Pokemon crocheting - The book was easy to follow instructions to crochet various pokemon figures.

Adorable patterns
This is worth the few dollars, it has my children’s favorite characters and a few of the evolutions of Eevee which is their favorite. I can’t wait to start making these!

Great Patterns!
I loved this book, I found the patterns to be easy to follow after you understand how to read it. I did the Pikachu as my first project and I’m planning on doing all the characters. I’m a crocheter advanced-beginner, so I’d recommend this book for anyone who’s starting crochet but it’s still not super advanced yet.

Good book
I am brand new to crochet so wanted to try and teach my kid. But I also have to learn. Learning and the acronyms and the stitches wasn’t to bad but I had to look up and see what how to do the stitches. I feel as if the illustrations weren’t the most informative. As far as the instructions, I found most of them pretty easy to follow. This is my very first crochet project and I have been crocheting for about a week now. I didn’t quite get the face right but overall I like how it came out. All and all I think the book is a good book. I would say it needs better instruction on sewing parts together. I did make mine a bit larger scale. But all and all I would give it Instructions 8/10 Easy to follow 9/10 Illustrations 6/10 But once again I am a complete beginner so I feel like any one with a decent knowledge of crocheting can do this book

A Must-Have for Pokémon Fans Who Love Crochet!
Highly recommend this book for any Pokémon lovers with basic crochet skills! I’m an absolute beginner with only two weeks of crochet experience, having made three Wobbles amigurumi. Looking for a bigger challenge, I found this book, perfect since my whole family loves Pokémon. I started with the beginner level project as recommended and used leftover cheap acrylic yarn for practice before investing in cotton yarn with the correct colors. I expected my first attempt to look messy due to my lack of experience with long patterns. Surprisingly, the instructions were easy to follow, and completing the project was super fun. My randomly colored Wobbuffet turned out looking like a rare shiny variant, and I’m thrilled with the result! I can’t wait to start my next project from this book. Update: I’m making more Pokémons and it is so much fun. I’ll definitely try to finish all of them!

A perfect gift for someone who loves crochet and Pokémon!
My little brother likes to crochet. He makes hats, scarves, sweaters and plushies. I got him this book as a Christmas gift because I want to see him crochet a Pokémon!

Eşime almıştım bana Charizard yapması için ama sağolsun eşimin annesi yaptı. Söylediğine göre biraz zorluyor ama kitap gayet güzel açıklamış.

Accidentally (HOW???) purchased two copies. Mum is enjoying crocheting Pokemon for my nephews, and a friend who is learning how to crochet was given the second copy. Am looking forward to seeing finished Pokemon from them both.
