It's great and worked for my custom shifter!
Love the feel, weight, materials and details in the knob. I bought this one to make a custom shufter for my XJ and wanted a good shifter and this company sells the shufter for the auto XJ too and both feel great and love the tread detail. Only wish it had mentioned where the set screw was I was aimlessly looking but it's under the tread pattern. Otherwise great product.

Perfect fit!
Definitely a major improvement from OEM. Looks great and comfortable in the hand. Pair this with the gear selector knob of same style!

Fantastic 4WD shift knob replacement for Jeep JK
I love this shift knob. The size and the textured rubber grip makes shifting gears an ergonomic and comfortable experience. As for installation, there are no instructions included in the packaging. When I removed the old shift knob, I couldn’t figure out why the new knob did not fit properly. After a quick Internet search on this product, I found a video that revealed the answer. You have to remove the textured rubber ring in order to access the Allen key set screw that is used to lock in the shift knob to the shaft. After I did that, all was right with the world and I am now one happy driver.

Set Screw Hard To Find
If it had instructions showing that the set screw is located to tighten down on the shifter shaft would help alot since it's under the rubber tread. Would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

I retrofit it for my YJ!
I tried looking for this exact knob for my Wrangler YJ but it's discontinued everywhere. I already had the 5 speed shifter and really wanted to match the 4WD shifter. So I bought this anyway and found this perfect coupler on amazon, "20 Packs 3/8"-16 Round Rod Coupling Nuts 40mm". The outer diameter of the coupler is just under 1/2 inch and it fits perfectly into the opening of this 4WD shifter. I pushed the coupler all the way into the shifter opening, found the hidden screw under the rubber, had to cut the screw in half, and tightened it down. Now this 4WD shifter can fit on a Wrangler YJ with the 3/8"-16 screw. Excellent!

love this shifter knob
just put a touch of red paint on the letters and wiped off the excess and this shift knob looks awesome in my Jeep. Fits my hand better and provides nice grip too.The stock shifters were too big and have a tendency to slip out of your hand. This shift knob with it's rubber surround provides excellent grip
