Nice tuner
Works well & tunes my cello with no problems. Have other D’Addario items & found them to be good quality & last for many years

Accurate enough, and better for it
I already have the D’addario pedal tuner, which is highly accurate - but even with a bass the signal flickers between micro- frequency differences for ages before it settles. This clip-on tuner doesn’t - it gives a far more stable reading. So it probably isn’t as accurate in an infinitesimal way, but in terms of knowing your strings are correctly tuned it is simply more effective and practical.

Perfect on Electric Bass
OK - this was dead cheap - a tenner or so. I've been getting really frustrated with by guitar clip-on tuner, as it never recognised the low E from my any of my basses, and even the A stings on one of the basses was a challenge. So - even though this is supposed to be for cello/double-bass (clipped to the bridge on those instruments) it works EXCEPTIONALLY well, clipped to the headstock of my electric bass. Best tuner I everbought!

Brilliant
Nice and small, clip it to the bridge press the bottom then pluck a string the adjust the tension as necessary. Very easy to use

Highly recommended
This has changed my life for the better, had been using a tuning fork, and/or tuning app, but this clips straight on the bridge, and my cello sounds superb now. Absolutely fabulous.

Excellent and very accurate
It works exceptionally well. Easy, just clip on. And compared to a stobe tuner, it was spot on accuracy. Really can't be beat for the price

Not recommended
I really wouldn't recommend this product for anyone who plays the cello. You are forced to clip it to the bridge to get a reading off of it. While this is not the issue, it means that you constantly have to look down at the tuner when you want to be looking up at the music. Most of the time, your hand and bow are also in the way of the tuner. It's really not very practical.

Impressed
For such a small and relatively inexpensive tuner, it works great. I have a cello so it clips on either the scroll or the bridge. Tuning was way. Nice bright display. Very happy with it.

I just wanted to come back and let anyone know who isn't sure that this works well for an electric or acoustic 6-string guitar. I was unsure when I purchased this how it worked and if it would also work for standard (EADGBE) guitars. The problem was that, when I asked Amazon's wonderful AI assistant "Rufus" if it would work on a six-string electric guitar, it answered with -- and this is verbatim: "No, this tuner is specifically designed for cellos and basses." (see image) Can you believe that? Do these companies realize they're using so-called "intelligence" that is driving away sales? It's pretty wild, eh? Anyway, rest assured that if you're looking for a low-cost reliable tuner that you can use for an electric or acoustic six-string guitar, this will do the job and well. Here are some highlights of this tuner: -Color display with fairly bright readout, especially in darker environments -Responsive readout of frequency/tune -I have calibrated this against another known and very accurate tuner and this one is fairly accurate as well. So if you're looking for a decent clip-on tuner and aren't sure if you want to pull the trigger on this, be assured that this will work with guitar.

The tuner picks up bass frequencies quite well. Even in a noisy room. Regular tuners take time to pick up the lower notes, but not this one.
