Good sturdy and accurate watch

The watch arrived today. It looks good and is a good weight. Not too heavy. Just right. A previous review stated that because a battery list fell out of the box it was not solar charged. The same list fell from my packaging. The same packaging that states that the watch has a non replaceable MT920 battery. This is a rechargeable cell. I suppose all the energy that it collects from the sun has to live somewhere.

Well the first thing is I’m not stupid so when a battery list fell out of the watch packaging you can imagine my reaction it’s meant to be a solar powered watch so I took it to a jeweller to check an guess what it’s a bloody lie there’s a battery inside the illumination on the hands is fake an doesn’t work almost £85 nothing. What a scam.

The watch case is made of steel and feels solid in your hand.The hour and minute hands are sword like and in proportion to the face.There is also a day date window at the 3o’clock position.It’s available in black or blue finish.The yellow second hand ticks nicely around the dial and is driven by a solar movement so you shouldn’t have to replace the battery.It is held on your wrist with a soft rubber type strap of decent quality and comfort.Would recommend this Casio timepiece.

Some reviews I think are comparing this watch with similar watches and causing confusion. No there is no illuminating the watch face. You can see it in the dark only as long as the ‘glow in the dark’ pointers and marks on the face last. The watch has a very dark blue face, it is almost black and would appear so at a casual glance. The pointers of this watch are skeletal which is unusual in comparison to near similar looking Casio watches. Is it difficult to set up No if you can read and follow the included instructions. If you cannot read and/or follow simple written instructions it’s still easy to set up. You can mount the watch on a variety of straps including steel, rubber and leather, 22mm wide of course. The original strap that is fitted is comfortable, light and strong so why fit a cheapo, in comparison, strap Would I recommend this watch to a friend? Yes I would I’m a big fan of Casio and this watch fits the bill perfectly.

"The watch has an LED light that you can turn on for reading in the dark. When you turn onthe LED light, it gradually becomes brighter.After about two seconds, it gradually becomes dimmer until it turns off." WRONG THIS WATCH DOES NOT HAVE A LED LIGHT!!

Cheap and cheerful

Its my first date/day display watch, I wear it casually & for work.

Great watch, classic diver style and charged right out of the box. The navy color is really nice. This will be a perfect daily watch. The strap that it comes with is cool and has a rugged look, not garbage like another review said. I added a nato strap to give it more of a marine style and it looks cool with that too. Don't be scared to get the watch wet or go swimming with it, but maybe take it off if you're actually going to dive. Accuracy is on point as well, it hasn't sped up or slowed down since. The solar power charging is a nice addition, no more batteries!

Nice watch. Great price. I've wore digital watches since the 1980's, because of the many functions that are handy. I've retired and really don't need timers, alarms, etc. Also my eyes are getting old and it's difficult to read the numbers without my glasses. The large hands are easy to see. Also, the plastic on digitals get scratched and gouged over time and the face scuffed up. This is has heavy metal case with a glass face and flexible rubber wrist band. It has a good look and is easy to read. It's a bit heavier than the plastic watches but I don't mind it. I liked the reasonable price and shipping was super fast. The next day it was delivered.
