CasioMemory Calculator Databank Watch

Best version of the Data Bank
I’ll start off by addressing the features that this watch because I see some confusion in other reviews and in the questions section. This watch and as far as I am aware every Data Bank model DOSE NOT have a timer. You do get a stop watch function, a time function and a dual time function.Obviously the two major features of this model are the actual data bank where you can store phone numbers and names you get 25 storage points and the name can be up to eight charters long. You can store any phone number in various formats…you may want to use the dashes (- key) to make you nations format fit evenly and not have an odd digit out.The calculator function is pretty self explanatory and useful there is also a currency conversion calculator which is interesting but probably useless to most people. You get several language options as well. That would be the language the day is displayed in and the alphabetical characters in the data bank mode.Functionally of this watch is excellent on the time display mode in addition to the time you also have the day in three letters, the date in month-day format and the year in full 4 digit display. That is very useful for people who often need the day and date for their job. I suppose the full year is also useful for January were people tend to forget the year has changed. The watch has an alarm function and you can set up to 5 with snooze options. You can set an alarm for daily monthly or once a year….say for an important date possibly a very useful function for many people though probably best to set the annual reminder a few days before the actual day for a particularly important date.I have seen people complain about getting confused by the instruction manuals for more complex Casios. Really they do a good job of explaining things you may need to read it a few times and actually perform the function. Failing that you can find tutorials on YouTube.Design wise I think this watch has an interesting aesthetic. Personally I feel that the silver color is more refined and the gold tone my look tacky on the wrong wearer but will look good on the right person. It’s definitely a watch that will either fit with the wearer or they’ll stand out for the wrong reason.I find this watch is a good way to enjoy technology but also separate yourself from being completely engrossed. It’s nice to have a watch that actually tells time and can perform other functions and is a separate thing from say a smartphone or smart watch all of which from a visual standpoint are very dull and uninteresting looking. Additionally the watch is a separate way to store phone numbers just in case.Overall an interesting useful watch that has an interesting look to it. I also own the modern pattern Data Bank DBC-32 and another classic pattern Data Bank the CA-53W. Features wise the DBC-32 has the same functionality as this version (DBC-611). The CA-53W has less features no data bank and no light but is a great choice as a beater.

The most advanced watch of our time
Epic, classic, sexy. Need I say more!Ok, I'll say more...Piloting a mid-80's Chevy Camaro, arm hanging out the open driver's side window, gold Casio peaking past the cuff of a pale blue jean jacket in a display akin to a Peacocks dance of colorful dominance. This watch draws the attention a king like you deserves.Smart watch... pfft. How about a programmable gold Casio watch with built in calculator and light up display. We have priorities, now don't we! Go for the gold!Just a watch? More like a personality wrapped in gold, with the light up freedom to calculate on the go!

Unadulterated, raw, sex appeal.
I hope you own yourself a Louisville Slugger, and if you don’t, you had better be sure to add one to you cart. Also, be sure to buy a nice gift for your wife right now, because she’s not going to be happy with all the attention you’ll get from women. The single ladies will love you, your wife will hate you, the dads will want to be you. Get a matching leather band for every belt you own, and be ready to be the highlight of every outing. Why a calculator? Why compromise utility for fashion! Have I ever used it? Absolutely not. But the shroud of mystery that captivates every onlooker is worth it. People love a man that can confidently wear this bad boy. Why wear a Rolex when you can throw this on your wrist and show the world that not only do you have a fashion statement that DEMANDS respect, but also can actively calculate the savings you made by buying it. High end cocktail bar? Yeah, everyone’s rocking their Rolex, their Omega, their Yachmasters. Here’s the best part about that. No one cares if you wear a pricey watch. It’s all about that fashion baby! I’ve had more conversations started by wearing this to high end places than anything else. People will clock it from a mile away and feel themselves enchanted by your piece and are unexplainably obligated to say something to you. Not only that, but you won’t run into a single person who will understand the technological masterpiece you have donned on your wrist. The Casio Databank boasts a TWENTY FIVE slot logging system for phone numbers, numerical keys, whatever. Pesky side chick keeps texting you while you’re spending time with ol’ girl? Delete her messages daily and never worry about having her number written down! Store them digits on your databank and return to your life of bad decisions- knowing that this watch wasn’t one of them. This is my second one. Did it break? No way, we both know they’re indestructible. I had a burglar who valued true fashion break into my hotel room in Switzerland. They left alone the money, left the jewelry- but made off with the highest piece of male fashion ever to grace a wrist. And I can’t even blame them. At this price, I was relieved that someone’s wardrobe just got a little more high brow, and I had the opportunity to purchase yet another one of these works of art. You will not regret this purchase.

A great Renaissance watch. Loaded with the usual Casio features.
A couple negatives to step over right off the bat, then we'll get to the virtues of what makes this such a cool collectors watch. First, for that nice big display, we are rewarded with a single LED light which barely lights up one numeral in the display. Don't count on using this one at night. Second, the strap type bracelet allows very limited adjustment. I have an average man's size wrist, about 7 1/2" circumference, and it's maximum extension remains snug but wearable. I will probably replace with a link type bracelet.OK, so you want a calculator on your wrist? This model has flat touch buttons, which require some pressure to activate, but are easy to use. Initial setup can be a bit confusing. Setting day and date, etc, you must use the numbered buttons to input info, which is easy enough. My favorite feature is the Data Bank. Having a backup for those Emergency contacts and friends phone numbers is a must we don't think enough about. If your smart phone is lost or dies, trust your your handy dandy Dick Tracy watch! All in Al, a pretty great value. Oh, and this thing is light as a feather!
