Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Hair Cream, 4 Ounce

I have wavy, curly (type 2b/2c) that tends to get very dry and very frizzy. This is one of the few products that tames my frizz, moisturizes, and keeps flyaways in check. It has a nice, light smell, and a little goes a LONG way - and I have relatively thick hair. It can be a bit hard to work through your hair, so it works best on very damp hair or if you mix it with a bit of water. I use this with the Not Your Mother texturizing sea salt spray and it's one of the VERY few product combinations that make me feel like I'm in control of my hair, not the other way around! I've never found a brand that my hair responds to better - not even that expensive brand for curly hair that people claim is a game changer.

This texturizing cream is great for giving hair that “beach waves” look. Leaves hair soft, not “crunchy.” Won’t leave house without it! This feels very thick and sticky on your hands/fingers. But rub your hands together, scrunch through you hair, and voila! Beach waves! When it dries, your hair feels soft and silky, not like a styling gel or mousse. Great styling aid for travel. Just wash, scrunch and Go.

I love this stuff and I can't find it anywhere in stores! I have wavy texture and this product works well if I let it air dry. It works amazingly with a diffuser! It smells tropical and not to overwhelming. It does have kind of a gross goopy texture out of the bottle and you will likely need to wash your hands to avoid it leaving a residue. But really, what hair product of this type isn't goop?

This stuff really brings out the best in my otherwise hopeless, baby fine, thin, neither straight nor wavy hair. It gives it pretty waves and volume WITHOUT having to use any heat, which is amazing. I can use it at night and sleep on it or in the morning, so it not only makes my hair look better but it cuts down on my prep time significantly. I'm hoping if I keep using it and stay away from the heat tools my hair will start looking healthier too. I've never used another product similar to this. I will say the texture when you first put it in takes some getting used to. It's very tacky and thick. I've been using about a "fat quarter" size amount in my just below the shoulder length hair and it's worked out fine.

I have ultra thick and wavy, frizzy hair. I use just over a hershey kiss-sized amount of this product and run it through the lower half of my hair after a shower. I love the way it gives my hair that separated, tousled look, however I think it leaves quite a bit of residue on. At the end of the day, I brush my hair and I can feel the residue on it, which makes my hair harder to brush through. I notice the extra dirt left on the bristles of my brush too and it sucks to clean it off. I used several other products that don't do this...the best one of which is now discontinued. I will keep this product around though and will use it up because it does make my hair look the way I want it too. After it's gone I will probably keep searching for a product that works for me, but I would return to using this if my mission isn't successful. I just don't like that I feel like I have to wash it out every time I use it because of the gunky coat it leaves on at the end of the day.

I have really fine hair that's wavy in the back, and annoyingly straight in the front. I'm super low maintenance when it comes to... well... everything. So I've been searching for something to help even out my oppositely-textured hair that requires little-to-no time. This is perfect, I put it mostly in the front in the morning after my shower (and with a little mousse just for added lift), and just let it air dry. And voila, that's it! I can touch it up with the Beach Babe Spray if I need to when I'm going out after work, but often don't even need to do that. This stuff actually works, holds pretty well, and doesn't feel crunchy at all unless I've over applied it (but then just work it out quick with my fingers). The reviews are right it's really sticky and works best in wet hair, and to wash your hands pretty immediately. I'm super thrilled to have found this!

Are you old enough to remember Roseanne Roseannadanna? (Google it, kids.) That's my hair in the summertime. I walk out of the salon looking gooood and no matter what style I get, or which stylist cuts my hair, or what products I use, I always wind up looking like RR once I actually have to style my hair myself. I bought this stuff with a plan to try encouraging the waves my hair gets in summer humidity. To my surprise it works *extremely* well to straighten and give structure to my thick, fine, unruly hair. I rub a bit of this miracle paste between my palms, smooth it over my my hair (concentrating on the ends) and it completely tames my 'do and - *gasp* - it actually looks like it does when I walk out of the salon! Dumb cowlick right at the peak of my forehead - gone. Frizzies - gone. Triangle head - gone! Amazing. Maybe best of all, I can get these results by air-drying my hair - no hairdryer required. Only downside is that I'm already hyperventilating at the thought that this product might be discontinued at some point.

I have natural waves and live the best the beach. I've looking for something to give my hair that after swim waviness. I've tried expensive salon texturizers, but with still need mousse and hairspray to get the look I want. So I thought I'd give this a try after reading lots of reviews. Well, OMG! This stuff is MAGIC. Gives me TONS of waves, I don't need and any other products... It adds a bit of shine. Got tons of compliments when I went to a conference and it saved me tons of time styling. Holds but it's not hard (unless you use a ton or don't distribution it well). So in love with this stuff! So, if you want texture, versatility & want to save time & money... Get this!
