Does this come with the hardware to mount the seat to the post?

No , the hardware to mount the 2 rails at the bottom of the seat to the post is a bracket which is always part of the post . This is because post sizes vary by bike and the clamp must fit onto the post before it can hold a seat by its rails on the other end. Thomson makes great seat posts and these come with the clamp.

With quite a different product seat choice how does one select the correct to purchase?

If a little extra wt. is not an issue Brooks saddle are great for breathability and comfort. Must be broken, but doesn't take much and over time may need to adjust tightness. Plenty of Internet sites for more info.

Is the only difference between the Special and the Titanium the rails? What is the actual weight difference if so?

I am not sure if the titanium rails are the differentiating feature on those two Saddles. Titanium is definitely lighter than the other materials used for rails. For the average cyclist the difference in weight is probably minimal

The difference between Narrow model x Special model is only the cooper rail inlast one? Is the same stetic model?
