Millar GH7051PB Black Tempered Glass Hob Cooktop with 5 Gas Burners (70 cm)

I was looking to replace our 4 ring gas hob and found Millars 5 ring gas hob, it's a direct replacement for the old 4 ring hob and no additional cutting of the worktop was needed, as gas hobs go, I'm impressed by it's quality, the ease of fitting and the overall finish of it, thick glass which is easy to clean, so impressed, I purchased a 2nd one for another family member in the black Friday deals. Works with Calor gas too, though if you do connect to a gas bottle which I have done, you must replace the burner nozzles which are supplied and will need to purchase an adaptor which converts it's gas pipe to a rubber bbq style pipe which is not included.

This is a lovely hob, excellent value for money makes a nice look to the kitchen.

Looks smart and solid. Installed in the countertop myself but the gas connection needs to be done by a gas safe engineer and has to be done with rigid copper pipes, not bendy pipes. The brackets that come with it to fix it aren't long enough and awkward to use as well as not very flexible in terms of design and what scenarios they can be used in. I could only use the 2 front ones. Will need to modify the cabinet or find some other solution to fix the back of it.

Installed myself with every thing provided for a successful install. Super easy to clean. Haven’t had it long to comment about reliability but this is mostly a mechanical appliance so not much to go wrong. Great price, great performance

As a result of updating the whole kitchen, we replaced our old freestanding gas cooker with this modern, gas-on-glass hob. The hob has been, on the whole, a disappointment. It is very difficult to keep clean. This might be the case with all black glass hobs, but even split water leaves marks which are not easy to deal with. I appreciate that the burners are supposed to be of differing strengths, but the reality seems to be one hob that takes ages to heat things up (but at least will simmer nicely), and 3 which are too fierce. The worst thing though, without a doubt, is that the thing is dangerous. Without pans perfectly centred on the supports, they will easily topple. And because of the layout of the hob, it's very difficult to have more than 2 pans on at a time which aren't encroaching on each other. The horrible 80s cooker we had before was easier to clean, cooked evenly, and saucepans never even threatened to fall off their solid stance. Note: Amazon appear to be showing the 5 burner model in my purchase hsitory, but this is the review of the 4 burner version which we bought.

This hob is fabulous ! It looks super cool , a joy you use & great value for money as looks expensive .. Reviews were varied but I am delighted and I’m fussy .
