Older model but great for my 2004 Pontiac.
When I had to replace my original factory CD player, I picked JVC based on the fact that they have been around for a while plus the price, and I was not disappointed. Install was easy (I used heat shrink connectors and a separate wiring harness) and the sound quality is amazing, even the pre-set equalizer settings. My radio still doesn't work, but I may have hooked up a wrong wire, or I may need an extension adapter for the antennae input (I haven't pulled it apart to check yet). The display color (red) is a great match to the interior display of my 2004 Pontiac.

Great simple stereo
If you dont need a touch screen stereo, go with this one. Easy to install and sounds great. No buzzing in speakers.

NOT IPHONE Compatible but over all good unit for the money
Do NOT get if you want to use for USB to Iphone connection. AUX port works but this is an Android CD player. Audio is good , loud and has a lot of Equalizer functions to meet your needs. No Bluetooth function as well.

Tool Box Audio...
Well, I invented and designed this Audio Package long before they started adding radios to tool boxes!Mid 1990's I was a Honda Dealership Parts Manager and the Showroom Honda Audio Display was being updated so I grabbed the used stuff and repurpose it!The Honda 2000 AM/FM Dolby Cassette Deck pooped out and finding a like replacement was pretty much impossible so I decided to get into the 21st Century and upgrade to JVC... Killer Sound that dwarfs the old stuff and great looks with more than enough functions to keep this older guy busy ';-)

Great, powerful unit! Go JVC!
Great, powerful unit. Great unit for the price. Paired up nicely with my 4 Alpine 5×8 door speakers through a 75W booster. Paired up nicely with my Crunch amp and 2- 8" Pioneer subs. Hits really hard. Once you get the sound "tweeked" in , it's good to go. JVC is a great brand, I don't care what anyone says. USB port is really cool. CD's sound good, better than aux & usb. Go JVC!

Good bang for the buck
I bought this as a cheap replacement for the CD player in my beater truck that did not have an aux port. For $40 this thing blew my expectations away. Sounds great even with factory 22yr old speakers. The internal amp on this is pretty stout. I also lucked out when installing as the plug for the new one was the same as the old Kenwood I took out. Had it in and buttoned up in 15 minutes. For a basic radio/cd player it does the job perfectly.

A few issues, but gets the job done.
Easy to install. Just remember to buy a wiring harness (if your car requires it) and a mounting kit.I bought this stereo for the AUX port so I could listen to music on my iPhone. The AUX port works. The sound begins clipping and distorting, at least when listening to CDs, when you get the volume to about 30. This is a drawback. The user interface is decent, but could be better. Finding a radio station is actually quite difficult. The default setting isn’t simply scrolling through each frequency. You kind of have to press a button that launches into a very fast scan through the stations, and then press again in hopes that you land on your station. I think that there might be a way around this, but I’m not sure. Regardless, it’s not very intuitive. Also, making a custom EQ setting isn’t intuitive either. It’s more than just selecting “user” and then playing with the frequencies. I still have to read the manual to figure this one out. Also, the dimmer isn’t automatic. Despite the fact that it’s wired to the headlights, I still have to manually dim the radio lights at night (and every time you re-start the car). Otherwise, the LEDs are red and look pretty cool.Overall, it gets the job done.
