Wake

Found this and watched because I needed to see something else with Ian Somerhalder (yes, I am in love with him like many of the prior reviewers and would watch pretty much anything he's in!). Anyway, the movie was a fun watch...cute, quirky, romantic, funny, sad and a little dark at times. Although it was hard to believe that Carys could have so easily fooled so many people with such ridiculous lies and especially that Tyler could be so dim (but hey, look into his eyes or see him shirtless, and who really cares if he's dim?), but once you get over it and realize that it's just a movie and isn't necessarily supposed to be realistic, then it was easy to enjoy. Bijou Phillips was well cast as the slightly "off" Carys and, Ian can play the sweet, vulnerable, romantic, wounded male lead as well as anyone can and plays it with an innocent sexiness that is positively swoon-worthy (and of course, he's very easy on the eyes!) That is the side of him I like best on Vampire Diaries, although his "bad boy" sexiness is lots of fun, too! Wake was well worth my rental fee!First review, that was fun!

if you are into ian, then yes, buy it.I only bought this because of ian somerhalder. the storyline wasn't that great.the acting, gosh, it was kinda painful to watch. ian did not do so bad. bjiou on the other hand was the painful one to watch. in addition, her character was annoying as hell. yes, I did feel sorry for the loss of her sister but that was it. I suggest watching it with a friend and not with a date. it will ruin your mood if you plan to do something naughty along the way. with a friend, you can make fun of it and curse all you want at the parts that were awful and painful to watch. if you have nothing else better to do for 1.5 hours, then watch it. at least, ian somerhalder will grace your tv screen with his body and looks. the movie does have a love making scene and all I had eyes for was just the beautiful Ian..

I wasnt expecting much from this movie, i just saw it because i needed a distraction and at the beginning i dindt like the characters but after some minutes i start to like them and the movie ended being such a charm. A delightful experience due to the simplicity and some interesting twists, Of course, some people would find it unbelieveable and perhaps even boring, and it is unbelieveable and a little silly but that is the idea. It is a lower budget movie, certantly it is not the usual romatic/comedy and is not going to change the world and wont have you laughning all the time but it is a lovely little movie

I don't normally take the time to write a movie review, but I'm making a point of it now with Wake. I rented it to see 97 minutes of Ian Somerhalder. Didn't expect much but I'd watch the man if he were hosting a foreign fishing show. Not only was I completely surprised at how much I enjoyed the movie, but I went right to Amazon and bought it same day. Now, Bijou Phillips' character is a bit annoying and you find yourself hoping she gets slapped, but essentially, this happens to her emotionally... hence the title, Wake. She is broken inside. He fixes her by being vulnerable and available and its very quirky. Ian's performance is wonderful. I'm just not saying that because I'm jaded; he is really great. Buy it. Its the kind of movie you watch when you are in a funk and it will yank you out of it.

I was very pleasantly surprised at finding this movie on Netflix and have now added it to my wish list here. I was originally drawn to the movie by searching through Ian Somerhalder's body of work and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. It was so refreshing to see him in a role without so much of the snarky humor that he's so famous for (and does a fabulous job at), and taking on something with a bit more depth.I thought the casting was spot on for all roles, Bijou was quirky and amusing, I felt uncomfortable when she did, smiled when things went well for her and was upset when she was; she had a way of drawing me right in. The twist ending was well done, not too predictable, I only wish there was a little bit more at the end.I will definitely want to watch this one again.

Love this movie! I didn't know what to expect when I first viewed this film. I am a fan of Ian Somerhalder which lead me to purchasing this DVD. It has many touching and funny moments in it, as well as, a happy ending. There was healing for each character by their interaction, though how it started is very improbable. Both Ian and Bijou displayed their talents well in creating two people who meet under very unusual circumstances and takes you on a very romantic interlude with a sprinkling of tension thrown in. I don't want to give spoilers, so it will be up to the viewer to find out. This is a movie that get better with each viewing!I highly recommend this movie. I just wished it could have been produced in Blu-ray as well.

It was okay. I have to admit, I got this movie mainly because Ian Somerhalder was in it (aka: Damon, The Vampire Diaries). It was not a movie I would watch more than once. I now understand what they mean when a critic says "their performances were uninspiring and the plot was predictable". His character was rather dull to begin with (I've seen what Ian can do when a write gives him something to really work with) and although she had an opportunity to bring some life to a rather kooky character, she fell quite short in doing so. But that is just my opinion.

I bought this movie because everyone rated it 4 stars. I watched it twice to give it a chance. I did not like it. If you get to the end of the movie you will hear why. Listen closely. Man breaks law and oath as a doctor. Sorry, I have a problem with that.

Nul ou presque. Quelques bons passages et encore. A vite oublier. Dommage,car cela aurait pu etre mieux rendu,mieux joué.RAS d'autre

Très bon film pour passer un bon moment (surtout entre filles), il est drôle mais aussi émouvant. A consommer sans modération.
