Good for peeling carrots, potatoes and ginger
Strong and sturdy. I had two other peelers break the first time I used them. This one I have had about six months.

the quality - important
I have several of these in my kitchen, but this is the only one I use all the time. Apples, potatoes, carrots, beets, large root radishes, zucchini and eggplant are ideal.The best combination of blade quality and ease of use

FAST peeling!
This tool is sharp and easy to use and of a higher quality. It makes for high-speed veg peeling. I either keep the 'tail' (or root) of the carrot on to hold as I peel with this, or I use a fork to hold one end as I peel. Sounds goofy, but this is sharp and keeping fingers away from the business end of the peeler spares the fingers.

Although this paring knife is made of stainless steel, it is not easy to use, and the blade is not smooth, making it difficult to peel.
