Picked this up on Black Friday for 129, and for the money it beats every air hammer I’ve ever used and is up there in performance with the snap-on. It definitely has professional shop quality feel and weight to it and I really good progressive trigger you can throttle with a little bit of concentration. Make sure to use some kind of a hi-flow fitting to get the most power you can. Would purchase again!

IR is my go to for everything pneumatic. This air hammer is a great tool. It's a little heavier than your standard short barrel air hammer obviously. It really packs a punch. It has a feathered trigger so no need for an airflow adjustment knob.All in all it's a great tool for a great price. TIP: BUY THE KIT OPTION AS ITS THE SAME PRICE AS THE TOOL ONLY OPTION!!!

Ingersoll is the top of the line in air tools. The long barrel on this makes quick work of various task. High power. Don’t use the short barrel hammer if long barrel is a choice. The short barrel version makes a lot of noise and doesn’t get much accomplished. Think if you hold a hammer driving a nail if you use short swings the nail barely moves but if you have a long swing drives the nail quickly. The noise given off is comparable to any air hammer so wear hearing protection. From past experience and the reputation of the brand will last many years with proper oiling.

Bought this air hammer because of the price point it is at. Compared to the other big name air hammers like snap on and Matco this performs well and in my personal case beats out the competition. Definitely recommend this to any of the techs that’s need a good air hammer but don’t want to spend a ton of money.

As far as vibration reduction, this tool definitely does that , and does less fatigue on your muscles after continuous hammering. As far as punch power the previous generation of this tool had more power per punch Noise level is pretty high so always use ear protection. Easy to use , keep lubricated with oil before every use to prevent failure

I have been using this at this car repair shop for a long time, and I use it once a week. Its performance has always been as excellent as that of Snoppon. The adjustable trigger mechanism is still very easy to control.

I saw this item used on a youtube car repair video. My existing air hammer was a cheap twenty dollar harbor freight piece. This air hammer is a vast improvement. Was thinking about getting one of these when a black friday deal came up---I ordered immediately. I admit that I have not used this yet but handling it I can see the quality. I do not regret my purchase.

My ancient Snap-On air hammer started "idling" awhile back and then suddenly it was full on no matter what, and after a sub par rebuild kit left it still idling, I bought a new one. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Ridiculously strong, but it's really easy to throttle. It is really quiet compared to other air hammers but don't expect silence -- IT'S A HAMMER!! Comfortable grip, comes in a case with some chisels etc, it's quick release. Honestly my only complaint about this hammer is how ridiculously oversized the case is. I figured out that it fits in my old Snap-On case so I'm using that. That one fits in my box. Literally the day after I received it, I had a car that the bolt for the rear shocks, one of which was leaking, was seized solid to the inner shell of the bushing and I had very limited space so I had to chop it out. This sailed through the job, and I don't think my other one would have.

Put money aside to buy bits. The pointed bit broke in first 5 min. Air tool is solid though.

Very happy with this so far, has excellent power, not as much power as a Matco or Snap on but then it's a 5th of the price!. It has done what I needed it to do in the shop which is removing broken studs and loosening stubborn wheel bolts. This is part of my professional tool kit and serves its purpose in a regular automotive shop. There are other reviews that talk about how well it performs for light truck applications.
