This is a really nice patch, but it's too small for an adult shoulder patch on a costume. It would work for a child's costume or as a patch for a soft-sided luggage/tactical bag. The photos really don't do it justice (no pun intended); it's quite good looking and high quality. For comparison purposes, I've posted a photo of this patch (on the right side) vs a more traditional shoulder patch, along with a ruler. The dimensions as stated by the seller are very accurate.
