Q: Is Lestoil safe/recommended for cushioned vinyl flooring (Armstrong)?

I just used it yesterday on my vinyl flooring and it seems safe to me. Just don't use too much. Less is more.

Q: Do you know how much to use in a front loading laundry machine with mechanic's clothes to get the oil out?

I use it on oil and jet fuel as a spot treatment (easier to use if placed in an empty dishsoap bottle to dribble out with a small nozzle). If you let it sit a bit, that works best (maybe overnight or a few hours anyway). Add a 1/2 cup or more of borax (Mule Team) to your laundry load (1/2 c front load, more for top) and the clothes will come out without a grease/oil/fuel smell as well as most stains gone. Works it's magic on a hot wash, not so much for cold.

Q: Has anyone used Lestoil to keep mice out of exterior sheds (spraying around the interior perimeter). If so,does it work?

I have used it to get rid of raccoons that nested in a tree next to our house. She moved her babies over night after my husband put a rag soaked with lestoil in the opening. He recently put another rag soaked with lestoil in the burrow of a family of foxes (five kits and 2 adults). I never want to kill any animals. But we do need to get them to move or we trap and move them. I would try it for mice, but since they are so small and can move to another area in a shed, I am not convinced lestoil would work.
