SABRENT SSD/SATA Hard Drive Connection Kit [Molex 4 Pin to x2 15 Pin SATA Power Splitter Cable and x2 SATA Cables (Data)] (CB-SDSP)

The adapter I needed was discontinued so I used this and another molex/sata to create a functional duplicate. This, albeit slightly bulkier, worked perfectly for what I needed, and the included sata cable made a great replacement for the one I cannibalized from another computer to create my latest frankenstein's workstation project.

Overall, the cables do what they are suppose to do.I feel personally the quality of the material used on the power cable (MOLEX) could have been better.I have bought numerous items from SABRENT and the prices have always been reasonable and the quality good, not fantastic, but good. the items I have purchased have always and still do perform well.

This review is for the "Molex 4 Pin to x2 15 Pin SATA Power Splitter Cable and x2 SATA Cables" kit.Many power supply units come with right angles SATA connections, or have multiple terminals in line with each other. This makes it difficult to connect the cable to the drive, and can put too much pressure on it causing the plastic tab on the drive to break. Some computer cases have the drives in weird spots, not allowing a 90 degree connection. In other PC cases, I've had to use one SATA cable per drive just to get slack on the power connector.This kit is excellent for things like that. My Fractal Design Nano S case has 2 SSDs mounted vertically side by side behind the motherboard tray. Using a standard SATA connection, things were getting too tight and I didn't want to break the drives. Another user on PCPartpicker recommended this kit to alleviate the pressure on the drives. With a modular power supply, subtracting a SATA cable for a Molex cable was no big deal. And as a bonus, the cable is sleeved to help hide the color-coded wires inside.The included data cables are of good quality and are decently flexible. Nice little bonus for my blue/gray themed PC.

The quality of this splitter really is amazing. The 4 pin side of other cables are usually a cheap connector with pins that wiggle around and sometimes come out as you plug in the connector.That's not the case here, this 4 pin connector is extremely well built. There is no wiggle of the pins and it was the easiest 4 pin connector I've ever plugged in.As for the blue data cables, I at first thought they should be black so they wouldn't stand out or class with other colors. I then noticed that the blue was almost the same color of blue as my motherboard's heat sinks, so I plugged them in very easily and love the color now.However if you what color neutrality these blue cables will clash with most other color themes.All in all, these are high quality and I'm happy I bought these.

Needed an extra SATA power connector in my case, so I picked up this adapter and it works perfectly. The two SATA data cables are a nice added bonus. I didn't need them, but it's always nice to have some around.

quality product that is built well.picture dosnt show it well but I was happily surprised to find that they do have locks on the sata connectors. also the molex connector is very well built. great product, exactly what you would expect.

I set up a simple RAID with these on an old computer I use as a server and they worked perfectly. 2 shucked WD drives, a bit of futzing with Win10 and the cables.... Boom. Been running solid for months now.
