This is a lovely print of a seminal work, not only a book or work of study but a piece of art. Who says science can't frame beauty, that it is only the domain of faith? This book proves otherwise.

Following extensive spinal surgery, during the recovery phase, I rediscovered my love of art and the history of art. I already owned a few Taschen volumes but decided to build my collection. Buying used on Amazon is a great way to make this somewhat more affordable. I even found a few new titles selling cheaper than the used one on eBay. If you love high quality books, love art, love reading about art movements and artists across all genres - these Taschen books are hard to beat.

The print quality of this book is poor. If you look closely, it is very low resolution dot print. Not what I expected fro Taschen

Maravilloso libro ilustrado, con montones de ilustraciones (casi todo el contenido son ilustraciones), realizadas a mano por el artista-científico del siglo XIX y principios del XX, muy inspirador para artistas o deleite de amantes a la biología. Un sorprende y grato descubrimiento a un precio super económico. Me encanta!! La única pega que le pongo es que está en inglés, no lo encontré en español.
