A new take on a favorite topic
Awesome game. I have been fascinated with this historical subject for some time. While there have been a number of excellent games published on this topic over the years, TDV succeeds in adding new twists that makes the game fresh and interesting while still remaining faithful to the history and without adding too much chrome. The counters are solid and the map is gorgeous. Another super game from Ted and GMT.

Excellent strategic Russian front game
Dark Valley is an excellent game. It covers nearly all aspects of that campaign with very moderate rules overhead. Furthermore, the rules are very clear and logical so that your play quickly becomes intuitive which allows you to concentrate on the war itself rather than struggling with gaming procedures.
