I ordered a replacement for one I’ve had for years, partially because I also wanted to cut the old one up to use in different places or circumstances. Now we’re getting use to a soft sided small bag for airline travel. This, smeared with a spoonful of peanut butter, pumpkin, applesauce, or wet dog food is convincing my pup a bag is a fine deal! I like this particular mat because its sections are close together and licking it all takes more time. Discovering lickimats has been so useful and they keep my pup interested and thinking he’s getting fed more than he is because it takes longer!

So easy to use and clean

We bought these these together for our pup as an mental activity (he is very high energy and food motivated). He loves these and they keep him busy for 15-30mins depending on if it’s frozen or not. We usually freeze his mats with plain yogurt, peanut butter and/or pumpkin in any combinations. We have noticed he’s more calm after getting a mat. I think it is very easy to spread the contents over the mat I usually put 4-5 scoops around the mat then spread using a spoon, butter knife or spatula. As far as cleaning goes, the sooner you clean it the better. I noticed if I use the spray feature of my faucet the snack comes off waaaayyyy faster than sitting there scrubbing. If you don’t have a spray faucet, I have also put soap on the mat and soaked it in my sink. Our blue mat is stained with pumpkin because i didn’t clean it right away (my fault, still works great). Reading reviews, a lot of people wrote on the durability of the product and honestly we watch our pup when he gets his mat simply because we KNOW he likes to destroy things. If he attempts to pick up the mat, we correct the behavior and do not allow him to pick up the mat to chew on it. We have a Velcro dog as well, so we will usually move the mat if we plan on going into a different room. We have had the mats for almost a month now giving them every other day-ish and have had no issues with the durability of the mats or pegs/x’s but AGAIN… we DO NOT let our pup CHEW or PICK on/at the mats. Overall, I would recommend these mats over and over with the reminder to WATCH your pup(s) as they have the mats.

I think it's hilarious to give a product review for a doggie item. I mean, my dog has not filed any complaints about this lick pad although I found the little "bumps" into which the canned pumpkin mixture is smashed became discolored by said pumpkin on Day 1. That bothered me but the dog continues to lick away, happy and with good guts. Discoloration having no affect on her day or my purchasing decisions. Oh, heck, let's go with the dog's review and give it a 5 star!

These are great! The soother really does get your dog into a zone licking it. The buddy is more a job. When I make them to freeze, they last my large dog about 15-20 minutes. The material lasts a long time. The nubs eventually come off the soother. Highly recommend for enrichment and slow feeding. They are a bit of work to clean. I use a toothbrush and dish soap after soaking them.

Love these lick mats! Allow your dog to stay busy while you are doing a variety of things like baths, trimming nails, grooming, and just to help destress and calm your dog. Highly recommend!

We bought these in September 2023 and they have lasted until now (September 2024)! Our puppies (now 1 year & 8 months) loved these! Great to keep them engaged if you have to hop on a work call or for some mental stimulation. We’ve used pumpkin, PB, coconut oil, coconut water, Kefir, etc. Pro-tip, spread your mix on the liki mat and then freeze it flat for an hour or so. It makes it last much longer!! Whenever I put coconut oil/water on this and freeze it, my girl is occupied for almost 30 minutes. These clean really well and hold up well too. I’d be careful and supervise if your dog is a big chewer like mine. Over time, she’s pulled some of the silicone apart or even ripped the corners off. Our boy is sooooo gentle and has never had a problem though. Overall, I recommend for the price-point, if I do the math, these were well worth it. They lasted for 1 year! Can’t beat it!!

With a dog that loves to scoff and eat like a demon these are great. They are good quality, she's got one in the freezer with pumpkin and blueberries smushed in most days. As well as some of her dinner to give her something to do. They are easy to rinse off and she's not tried to eat them, always a bonus.

Lickimat never disappoints. I hand-wash them only. They do stain after a while and I do my best to keep them clean but once a year I seem to replace them L
