Ridiculous Vegan Protein Bar - Award Winning, Wild Chocolate Peanut, 9 Bars, 100% Plant Based & Palm Oil Free, High Protein - Protein Works

I was apprehensive about buying these due to other customers reporting short dates on the product. Mine just arrived and as the picture shows, there is five months BB date. After getting a slight addiction to protein bars and needing them to be vegan, I thought I'd try these as they are a great price at the moment and work out at £1 a bar. They taste very nice. The filling is nice and chewy with bits of crispies in there and it has a nice chocolate coating. They are not as moist as some other bars and there is a slight aftertaste as these contain zero sugar but that has not put me off. They have 15g of protein and are just under 200 calories each. Will definitely by again 🙏🏻

As I am lactose intolerant and dairy free but I wanted to try a protein bar. This seemed like the best alternative. This was surprisingly good. The texture is great and I love the nuttiness and the flavour. The good news is there are more than one flavour, I buy them in the boxes of 9 bars, great value and low sugar.

I don't often write reviews about products, however we have been so impressed with these British bars of from 'The Protein Works' as a family, that I felt it only fair to write an informative review. I first bought these bars several months ago to take with me on long running trips as a packable snack to provide energy and as an alternative to a biscuit or chocolate bar, which mostly have a high fat and sugar content. Since then both of my children and my partner regularly eat these bars, preferring them even to their regular chocolate snacks, which is a change that I have welcomed! The taste really is ridiculously good. The bars are taste sweet, have a fudge-like consistency and the chocolate tastes delicious and creamy. There are so many different kinds of protein bars on the market, many of which I have tried and been unimpressed with as they can often taste quite artificial and dry. After searching for a new suitable snack online I came across 'Ridiculous.' The edgy and contemporary packaging caught my eye and sparked my interest enough to read the nutritional information. I was impressed with the low saturated fat content and even more impressed with the very low sugar content - 0.8g per bar! This is almost half the sugar contained in many other leading protein bar brands. After reading however, that 'Ridiculous' bars are made in the UK, completely vegan and palm oil free, which is something that the majority of other protein brands don't seem to be able to brag about, I was ready to give these bars a try. The bars arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Don't waste your time and money on buying other protein bars on the market as these little British power bars really are excellent! What I like: It's vegan. What I don't like: to me it tastes like solid protein powder. Spread a bit of peanut butter on top and that makes it taste better, but these are not for me.

The taste is just okay, you can taste the caramel but there is not much of it in the bar. The bar itself is pretty hard but the chocolate on the outside tasted alright. The bars do leave a weird after taste which I'm guessing is from the pea protein? Overall, I would not buy again, they were edible but didn't enjoy them

Those who are familiar with plant based protein bars will know to moderate expectations when it comes to taste, these are not Grenade style chewy, yummy goodies with exciting flavours, but as close as can be approximated given the boundaries within which they are manufactured… I’ve personally become fond of these now and look forward to snacking on them during the day - I personally consider them a treat and find them somewhat satisfying as such. Good tasting bars, not too sweet, not too bitter and fairly chocolatey. Firm, chewy consistency with crunchy bits, plus pretty good macros - I’d prefer a higher protein content personally, but for around 200 calories I’ll accept the 15g on offer. I’ve been happily purchasing these at just under £9 delivered (Prime) which I feel represents good value given the odd number in each pack - but beware the price fluctuations with these bars are simply daft… they are not really worth paying more that £10/£11 for this quantity, so stock up whilst they’re cheap and skip them when they peak.

I really like these a lot. I’ve tried and compared quite a few high protein bars. For me I’m doing it to try to lower my blood sugars as a type 2 diabetic and help a fatty liver. They have a chewy texture, quite dense with the added thrill of bits of peanut on top (not huge amounts like a Snickers however). But really tasty. The little box they come in is handy to store and each bar really fills me up. I like the fact it’s all vegan even though I’m not. Especially as no palm oil used. I like to take my time chewing each bite and enjoy it as my healthy treat. By combining these with Diet Whey High Protein low sugar powder drinks I’ve lost weight in a week and my daily sugars are around 6-8g a day! That’s brilliant for diabetics. I have a shake with no sugar, no carb, no fat almond milk for breakfast. A huge salad with tuna for lunch. One of these for snack either before or after dinner. A piece of fruit and a healthy dinner with lots of vegetables. After trying a lot of these different bars these are one of my favourites and cheaper than many out there. I like them a lot but my partner rates “just ok”, so I guess you’ve got to try for yourself.

Trovo che queste barrette siano davvero di ottima qualità, due gusti uno meglio dell' altro e alta percentuale di proteine veg 💪🏽

Mit die besten Protein-Riegel, die ich bisher probiert habe. Sowohl die Konsistenz als auch der Geschmack sind überzeugend. Kann auch die anderen Geschmacksrichtungen empfehlen. Außerdem sind in diesen Riegeln kein billiges Weizengluten enthalten, was der Körper nur bedingt verwerten kann, sondern hochwertigere Proteinquellen.
