Mr. Pen Metal Scissors, 8 Inch, Carbon Steel, Heavy Duty Sewing & Fabric Scissors, Tailor Shears

i bought these in nov. 2024. wanted to use them for a good bit b4 reviewing... i am a hobby sewist 3 or 4 days a week - for a few hrs each time... they have never cut anything but fabric or thread.... and they are an excellent pr of fabric scissors under ten bucks. for thinner fabrics they easily cut thru 4-5 layers. thicker fabrics (like denim) i find it best to only cut one layer at a time. they feel comfortable in my hand. after almost a year they are still wicked sharp.. i am sitting here trying to thick of any type of con - coming up with none... i have another pr of fabric scissors that were twice as much.. but i find myself reaching for these 90% of the time...

These worked great on all my fabric projects. Very sturdy. They feel just like my grandma’s set from the 60’s. Made well and very sturdy. Comfortable to use and even work on detailed cutting to an extent.

Got these to replace my old sewing shears. I love the style, and despite not having rubber grips, these are reasonably comfortable for metal scissors. They're definitely well made, and I have faith these won't break easily. That being said, the pair I received is a little tight, and was pretty squeaky at first. A little WD 40 took care of that thankfully. The other issue is that out of the package, these don't seem quite as sharp as my other scissors did when they were new. They do cut pretty cleanly (cut terry cloth, sweatshirt fleece, snuggle fleece, flannel, and quilting cotton with them so far), but as they are, I would be hesitant to use them to cut something that marrs easily, like gossamer, satin, etc. But they're so good in all other aspects, I might just go get them professionally sharpened. Ultimately , I don't regret this buy.

Man, I can't believe what a steal these were. They're beautiful, heavy duty, and most importantly, they work like a dream. I've been needing new fabric shears for a hot minute but couldn't believe how overpriced they are at local retailers. I bought (and returned) two other pairs in this price range that couldn't make a decent cut through a single layer of cotton. These are large, heavy, and sharp enough to crop a t-shirt or pair of jeans quickly and easily.
