Zydeco's Greatest Hits

This is an enjoyable CD, but I strongly recommend you purchase Putamayo's ZYDECO instead. It contains some greats like Geno Dalfose's "Bye Bye Mon Neg" and the Creole Zydoco Farmers' "Creole Farmers Stomp," which you won't be able to SIT and listen to. It also has Queen Ida's "My Girl Josephine," which is a classic.Zydeco's Greatest Hits does contain some good, standard cuts like Buckwheat Zydeco's "Ya Ya," and another cut of theirs,"Turning Point," which is great. I also like BooZoo Chavis' "Uncle Bud." For the most part, though, the Putamayo disk will keep you hopping.You may also enjoy Putamayo's LOUISIANA GUMBO which contains a variety of cajun, southern rock, and zydeco.

I like the sound but it seems a short cd. Just get into it and it’s over. I didn’t check the play time. Should’ve.

This album, you won't want to listen to everyday, but if your BBQ has some spicy Cajun cooking going on, its exactly the rollocking muzak to put on as you are serving. It's an album full of zest, zing and Zah-zah-de-dah . Buy it now - you won't regret it.

just me, a few that I liked and more that I didn't on this cd. can do like I do, just burn what I like to my own for my own use.can't make everybody happy ! trying's fun though, can't agree on everything but can still be friends.

I bought a collection of Zydeco/Cajun music recently. Of the group this is my favorite.

great dance music and easy listening.. it was my first cd of this type of music and I will be checking out some of the music on other cd's.. arrived earlier than expected and I had my dancing shoes on as soon as I got the wrapper off!!
