Boo to You! (Classic Board Books)

My 5 year old LOVES this book. We read it every night. Thankfully it is fairly short and not one of those books that I dread having to read every night. Originally borrowed it from our local library but every time I tried to return it he got upset and wouldn't let it go, so once I ran out of renewals I decided to just hop online and buy him his own copy.

This is a cute story of mice scaring a hungry cat away. Though the story is cute personally it is not my favorite Ehlert book. It is good to use for an example of collage, if using it within an educational setting.

My granddaughters, 5 and 7, enjoyed me reading it with them. There was lots to explore. Textures and colors and shapes of things were wonderfully creative. At the end the personal things were connecting and sweet. Thank you!

This book is fun and clever too. Love the art of the author/illustrator. These mice are fun and the cat is spooky without too much fright :)

the book came with I believe a page missing- we had a page that I'm not sure where it fit in the book as it didn't flow with the story. It was glued in the middle and poking out of the book. As the book was inexpensive I didn't deem it necessary to return.

I collect all Lois Ehlert books...she's one of my favourite children's authors! I've wanted this book for a while! My kindergarten class will love it!

The artwork is vibrant and creative. I have this book sitting out in my house all the time so people can admire the freaked out cat on the cover. Other reviewers have said that the story is too scary for kids, but I disagree. Scary stories can be fun! This scary story is silly - not serious at all. Think along the lines of Roald Dahl's "Dirty Beasts." Chances are your kids will love it.
