Good value. Haven't read much of it yet not a " light" read.

There was a printing error in the book. Twenty or so pages are printed upside down (thanks Phaidon). Other than that, I have no complaints. Good book, good price. Hey, most pages were right side up... That's pretty decent, right?

Worth a read.

Gud book

This is a classic of itws kind, a must for every art student - which should be any person who is reflective and thinking. A real treasure, born of both wisdom and unique expert knowledge of both Art, human nature and history of culture. Thanks for assisting me in getting it!

Great text, but in this printing the illustrations appear poorly printed (they are pale), especially noticeable when compared with those of an older edition. Perhaps the quality of illustrations is peculiar to my copy, but the reproductions seem consistently light.
