This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and as usual they don't disappoint with quality or sun protection. I work and live in a very sunny, very hot place and and when you wear these you almost can't feel them because they are so light. They feel very delicate. I had the same feeling about the Maui Jim Ho'okipa Sport Sunglasses when I first bought them and I was afraid I was going to break them. I bought them in October 2021 and they still have held up nicely. These 'Akau Polarized Rimless Sunglasses are even lighter, or least feel that way. I also thought the green color would be nice for a change. So if I already have 2 other pairs, plus 2 pairs of round lens classic Ray Bans why by these? I guess my thing is sunglasses and I rotate through them during the week just for a different look. I also like the new case. At first I didn't think I would because I have one of their older cases but the cover is coming off. It's easier to pop this one into a pocket or whatever because it folds up flat, nothing to peel off. I highly recommend them.

These glasses are almost so light I'm afraid they will blow off my face, lol. They are amazingly clear and excellent for looking down in the water and cutting glare. The only drawback I can see is the are extremely flexible. So much so it usually takes both hands to put them on. But they are comfortable. If you like putting your glasses on your hat these will disappoint you, they fall right off. All in all though they are really good glasses.

Cons: glasses feel kinda chintzy out of the box. The arms are like a plastic tubing type material (if you’ve ever worked in a lab you know what I mean). They don’t squeeze your head tightly so a strong wind (boating, biking,etc) could blow them off. They don’t feel like $200 but what do I know 😁 The lenses are not that dark. On a white sand beach in bright sunlight they might not be dark enough for some. Good for being in a cabana or under an umbrella or on a hazy day. Just my opinion. I’m using them for driving glasses, so perfect for that. Pros: the same thing that makes them feel chintzy also makes them feel good. They’re the lightest glasses I’ve ever owned. You don’t even know they’re on. The lenses are very clear. I feel like I’m wearing prescription glasses. They look great. Not too big and the blue color is perfect.

I’ve worn the Makaha for years. This is my new favorite. Super light, very comfortable. Doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any sunglasses at all. Notepads large enough to hold the glasses off my face with my flat Asian nose. It’s true, the frames are thin and flexible, so you need both hands to put on the sunglasses, but it’s worth the minor inconvenience. I want these in multiple colors with the crystal frame. Perfect!

No case is provided and glasses are very flimsy Value for money is not good

Great for golfing, I do not have to take them off and on with the shadows. Supper light so can wear them all day and still have the sun protection I need.

Bonne qualité mais la technologie de polarisation de maui est assez surprenante. On voit pas tortoise, mais plutôt '' havane '' on va dire.. ceci étant c'est clair comme je veux. De plus, la couleur du verre extérieur est réellement mixte.. même monsieur ( pas vieux) ça le fait, à la plage. J'ai pas mis 5* parce que c'est trop cher pour trouver une qualité chez maui. Bien que moins que chez le fabricant. Autre point récurrent, livraison est ok, mais boîte ouverte quasi écrasée dans le carton, franchement amazon assure pas. Et c'est pas la 1ère fois.
