Monstrum Q Series Picatinny/Weaver Scope Rings with Quick Detach Lever

I mounted a Vortex scope on my AR-15 clone with no problem using these rings.All that was necessary was to degrease the entire rings using some 91% isopropyl alcohol instead of acetone because the quick release levers are made of a type of polymer, then mount on the Picatinny rail with a drop of blue Loctite on each of the screws.Once the scope was in the rings and with the proper eye relief, I let the Loc-TIte cure over a day or two, then took it to the range, sighting in very easily and shooting satisfyingly small groups.It works exactly as it should, and it allows the option to quickly take off of the Picatinny rail without having to use tools.

Excellent fit and finish

I needed a set of scope mounts for a project. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a set that would be used for mock-up. These fit the bill. They are sturdy and will do what I need them to do. Would I use them on a more quality build? Probably not. But they do fit the need for something to give me a good start for proper scope height, clearances, etc when looking for the ideal mount in a higher price range. The mounts are secure and stable when tightened down. The good part is it doesn’t matter if they get worn from use, that’s why I chose them for the price.

They work very good

Bought two sets of these after watching a video review from some hillbilly saying they were good. Since I'm a hillbilly too, I figured, what could go wrong? Used one set to re-mount a scope on my .308 as the rings on it had the scope practically laying on the barrel. Made operating the bolt a knuckle-smashing event. Didn't like that. These give it enough height that the bolt can be operated painlessly. That, I like. The .308 uses weaver rails, and while these do fit, they took a little persuading to get on correctly. Second set was to mount a scope on my S&W AR and this went much smoother with the picatinny rail on the AR. Doesn't raise it over the front sight, but the scope optics take care of that. Time will tell how well these hold up, but I'm happy with them.

The Monstrum Q Series mount completely compliments my Henry 357 Big Boy. I purchased the Henry scope mount and since it's a Weaver mount I needed to get the right 30mm scope mount. At first I wasn't keen on the idea of the side mounting ratchets but after watching the video, I realized the ratchets can be re-positioned after tightening. This was a deal clincher for me as I didn't want to have to fumble with wrenches or screwdrivers to tighten or remove the scope. The fact that the mounting ratchets can be re-positioned "out-of-the-way" is ideal. The mounts come in 3 different heights and because the lowest height allows my scope to clear the barrel and the iron sights, that's the one I chose. Yes, I do recommend this mount.

These are nice rings for the price but the diameter of the bolt is too big to fit in the slot of Weaver mounts.

The QD rings work well. Already installed!
