Organic Pitted Dried Prunes for the Entire Family | Always California-Grown | Kosher | No Added Sugar & No Preservatives (32 oz)

After learning I had osteoporosis in April 2025, I researched how to help increase my bone density, including through foods. PRUNES to the rescue!! And, this is researched/science-based, too. (5-6 prunes a day). These fun-named Looney Pruney prunes, in my opinion, taste good and fit the bill. I love the moistness and freshness of these prunes, not to mention they are organic. Yes, they do clump together, and yes, your hands get sticky digging them out of the bag and prying them apart, but dems the breaks! You cannot have it all! I was buying dried prunes from another source, but after buying these, despite the aforementioned, there is NO COMPARISON. Since then, they have been a regular part of my diet. I haven't had a pit issue, but I usually cut them into smaller pieces to add to my oatmeal. On occasion, if I have a sweet craving, I'll put my hand in the bag and have to reach into a moist, sticky mass to get one out. And, besides, the sticky fingers situation, the bag also gets to be a pruney mess since you need to close it up after taking out the prunes with sticky fingers. But it doesn't bother me at all. I know I'm doing my body good, and besides, they are just fresh, delicious and healthy. The bag does state: "These prunes were mechanically pitted and may contain an occasional pit or partial pit". So, just go easy if you want to eat them whole. Be gentle on your prune and it will be a gentle, healthy, tasty addition to your diet! I actually JUST noticed that the bag ALSO states, "For best quality, refrigerate after opening". To date, I've NOT done that. They haven't been moldy or bad. But now that I know that, I plan to refrigerate them to keep them fresher. Also, this is a family-run business since 1869. They believe in sustainability and slow-dry the prunes for 18 hours to keep them juicy. I commend the Wilbur's five generations of growing prune trees, which are, are we all know, plums! These prunes are the best I've ever had. I like prune normally & eat them almost every day. I have never had prune that were naturally this delicious. They are so sweet. They are very moist & sticky. They're texture is soft. They are so soft & sticky that they often tear apart as I try to remove one from the package. They are so good, I eat them as dessert.

I got the bulk packaging as I use them as a sweetener for my daily breakfast smoothie. I really appreciate the smaller bags as they are always moist and the value was still good. No worries about them drying out.

Best is that these are ORGANIC. Very tasty & soft so they are easy to chew. However, I do not like sticky prunes: sticks to bag & leaves fingers sticky.

I purchase them for the nutritional value, no for the looks as they are glued together, they have good flavor and are soft but occasionally you get one with the pit, I will prefer to buy them shopped but with no pits, the pit could cost you to loose a teeth, now I have to smash every one to make sure there are no pits.

This is the first time I've tried them and I will definitely buy them again. They are small, delicious, and free of preservatives ! * For people who've complained of the prunes being sticky and in one lump at the bottom of the bag, there are two simple solutions : you can dump the contents of the bag into a container, cover them with some water, and in a few hours you will have 'stewed prunes', ( hot or cold) which are yummy for a fast breakfast with oatmeal, etc.. Or you can just spear them in the bag with a dinner fork & eat them ( no sticky fingers). . I do both. **Prunes are very beneficial for your bone health, and these are also a really decent price !

Best tasting prunes I've ever had. Packaged very well and fresh! The only slight "con" I have is that the dates were not separated, but kind of "clumped" together in the bag. However, the taste and healthy qualities of the prunes trump that minor inconvenience. Would purchase again.

Taste good. Consistency soft and mushy, you can’t eat one prune, they are all in a big blob stuck together. Better use tongs, fingers get all sticky. But they are organic and they do taste good. Maybe the shipping causes them to get gooye and sticky?
