great germination.
i tilled up an area under a pecan tree that gets part shade but has had kitchen compost dumped in the area for the last 30+ years, the ground is VERY fertile and beautiful black soil (not common at all in South Alabama) i tilled about 9" deep then broadcast the seed over about a 200 sq/ft area, then cultipacked them for good seed to soil contact. kept them watered regularly and within a few days they were up and growing. been several weeks and they are now about 4 inches tall and have made a nice thick mat of plants in the area, i have no doubt they'll continue to do well, the part shade keeps the brutal heat off of them. excellent so far.

Lovely and reliable
I bought this bag last year and planted seeds in several locations. I can't say if every seed sprouted, as I tend to toss out a handful or several. However, I definitely had LOTS of these Marigolds sprout and they filled up the planters I put them into. This year I tossed out a handful of these seeds and forgot I had planted them. A week later I tossed out another handful into the same bed. The next day, when I went to water I noticed I had a lot of baby plants. Turns out that those were from the seeds I spread the week before! Now I have A LOT of Marigolds in that planter! lol!I'm planing on tossing out a lot more of these seeds into some flower beds I have prepared, now.Very happy with these Marigolds!

They keep on growing!!!!
For the first few months after planting, I really thought I had dud plants. I sowed these indoors in January I believe. I planted in a small 6” pot as well as a 20” pot surrounding these huge plants, and I mainly did as little companion plants to deter some fungus gnats. I didn’t expect much. The little pot grew slowly, and the big pot, because they had so much room, ended up growing to be huge. They took over the pot and I ended up cutting back the other plant (I do5 even remember what it was) and just let these go crazy. They are both enormous now! I wasn’t sure if I was going to get any flowers, and then all of a sudden, the blooms started showing up, and now there are tons, and new ones keep showing up every day. It’s so fun to wake up and see a bunch more new buds pop up and each flower is totally unique. If you are planting in pots, beware, these can grow huge! 1-2’ tall! I cut them back all the time, put the cuttings in water, and in a few days I have tons of roots and repot another set. I have 5 pots total now, which is crazy. This is my most prolific plant at the moment. So happy I planted, and you get TONS of seeds. Highly recommend!

Beautiful blooms
I scattered these in my wild flower garden as well as some in their own containers and they gave me the most luscious greenery and beautiful blooms! They took about 100 days to first bloom, but look at all that green. I did need some neem oil bc aphids decided to eat them before they started to bloom. Some of them are close to 3.5 ft tall!

Easy to grow
These were very simple to grow. Germination was easy, but there has been no flowers blooming yet. They are growing fast and tall. I have them outside of the after they have hardened. And they're taking up well.
