This is a good price point. I upgraded an entry level part and the shifting is far superior without spending silly money. It's all metal, very sturdy and has an impressive return spring.

I’m hoping this new iteration of the GX Eagle will be better than the last version. I have had an issue with the chain coming off the jockey wheels and disintegrating the cage on take off! Twice I’ve had the clutch fail after a year and it constantly drop the chain in the higher gear’s small cogs. This has had a redesign - especially on the cage and seems like it will be better at stopping chain popping out of the jockey wheels. The shifting is spot-on and indexes perfectly. The tool provided is easier to set the B-gap, and if/when I get a new cassette it will do the 52t - which is a nice bonus. I just hope the clutch is a bit more resistant to wear as there is still not adjustment.

A bit pricey but what isn't these days. I set the H and L limit screws to match the old derailleur I was replacing and then fine tuned them. The B-screw was adjusted using the plastic tool that came in the box. With the help of YouTube.

Works just as well as the XO1 that it replaced. I guess it’s a few grams heavier but obviously not something that anyone would feel while riding. I’m happy I saved the money over the XO1 as functionally just as good. These things are great once you dial them in. Best shifting that I’ve ever had in a mountain bike.
