Good kit for the price
I'm using mine with a Radtel. Works much better than the aerial the scanner came with. Good piece of kit for the price. Definitely improved reception and transmission.

Very long good quality!
I was originally going to put this antenna on my fake radio I got for my ghost cosplay but it wouldn’t fit so I decided to put it on one shoulder peice on my plate carrier and make it look like my mic wire is attached to it when it’s not really. But anyway it very good quality and it will work with a real radio. Definitely recommend for airsoft

Superior to cheaper antenna
I bought the 108cm variant (more as a joke than anything else, as its rather ungainly!) and it shows a significant improvement on my Baofeng UV-5R over the standard antennas - both the Baofeng OEM and the Radioddity RD-771 that came as part of the package, but then again it almost doubles the cost of the package! Compared to the stock antenna on my Yaesu FT-4X though I'd say the gains are marginal at best, maybe creeping around 1 step extra on the internal 's-meter'. Performance overall though seems acceptable at both 70cm and 2m - getting good radio reports from repeaters around 20 miles away and have done a few transmissions tests out to local SDRs (between 10-15 miles away) and it's definitely a nice clear signal at 5w on both the Baofeng and the Yaesu - and that's from transmitting from my first floor home office. Will definitely take it to any future SOTA activations, not just to get an idea of range but I'd expect it to be quite a talking point for anyone passing by!

Has a range of 100 foot
Absolutely useless! My dad and me tried to see how far we could communicate with our hams... I have this antenna and he has my other extended retevis 16".... we tried in the garden 1st and all was fine but then after no more 100 ft they went completely dead and zero transmission not even static come through!! I know the retevis one is good because I have picked up atc with it and numerous other people talking on the amateur bands but this one is silent on every channel that the retevis would pick up strong signals on! I'm returning it...

Pretty great quality for the price! works well, not sure how much it extends the range as I haven't tested that out but it looks cool and works perfectly fine.
