I have to say, I’ve been let down by cheaper trimmer lines far too many times. They always seem to snap under the slightest pressure or when they catch on small stones, which meant I was constantly turning off my machine to readjust the line. It was a real test of patience. After seeing the steep prices for official Flymo spools and lines, I decided to try my luck with a third-party option for my Flymo Speedi-Trim STXT25.I came across the ALM medium duty electric trimmer line and, after reading some promising reviews, decided to give it a go. Unlike other products, ALM actually puts their name and reputation behind this trimmer line, which I found reassuring.I’m so glad I did because this ALM trimmer line is absolutely fantastic. It’s easily the best replacement line I’ve ever purchased! The quality of the line is apparent straight out of the pack. It feels far stronger than any other lines I’ve used before and was incredibly easy to wind around my existing Flymo spool.I managed to trim my entire back garden without having to replace the line once. Of course, I know that trimmer lines eventually break, but going from having to replace the line multiple times during each use to not at all is a massive improvement. The packaging claims it lasts up to four times longer, and I can confidently say it lives up to that promise.I paid £4 for 15m of this line, which is outstanding value for money, especially considering that official replacement lines are more than double the price. The product arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and the overall service from ALM has been excellent.Well done, ALM, for delivering a trimmer line that actually works.
