Looks great and the cat's love it
Looks great and the cat's love it. I so did not want to have a rug covered cat tree in my house again. This Vesper tree looks like a piece of furniture for Cats. Delivery was good.... it arrived in one piece without any damage. It was easy to put together and the instructions helped when needed.I have had mine for 7 months and it looks brand new with some expected wear on the seagrass scratching postsThe seagrass scratching post are also a big plus... better than rope easier on the cats claws and they look much nicer. But the real added bonus is you can buy replacement posts if & when they get worn out from use!All the Matts have memory foam real soft for your cats & all velcro'd on so they can be removed for washing or vacuuming. It is on the pricey side BUT WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY. It looks great, modular design makes it easy to replace worn parts, Memory foam rug pads can be removed, vacuumed & cleaned AND replaced if needed.I highly recommend this tree to EVERY Cat owner!

Disappointed; poor customer service
I ordered the Vesper V-Double in Walnut back in April and must say that I'm very disappointed. One of the pieces (the bottom of the second cube) did not have the holes drilled in the appropriate place, so the piece cannot be assembled properly because the rest of it was thrown out of alignment. I took the block apart and reassembled it three times, just in case there was something I was missing - I even watched a video tutorial Vesper had released multiple times - but the issue was in fact that the holes were drilled several inches off from where they should have been. I reached out to the company directly through their website, describing my issue and attaching photos and have only received one response back from them since. A reply telling me that the unit needs to be "buildt up side down," and that then I should find that "every part will align correctly." I sent them a reply telling them that I had followed the instructions (three times!) and included more photos, asking them to please send me a replacement piece. (Not a whole new cat tree, just a replacement for the one piece that wasn't correct.) I haven't heard from them since. In the pictures I've included for this review, you can see how the holes for the bottom of the cube are aligned to one side, when they should be center aligned. So when the second cube is attached to the first cube, the angle is wrong (the front corner is on top of the lower cube, when all product photos show that the corner should be an inch or so off of the bottom cube), meaning that the sisal post cannot be attached to both the cube and the top platform since everything has been thrown off by several inches.I am incredibly disappointed with how this has turned out. I do not see myself buying anything from Vesper again. I had been considering other cat trees and now wish that I had spent my money with another company instead.

This is a wonderful tree.
This is a very nice cat tree. When I saw the product page I was so taken with the red model I nearly ordered it, but settle for the tamer white since it went much better with our color scheme. It is a great looking cat tree, if you hate those ugly carpeted things but also don't care about eradicating every trace of actually having a cat. It is clearly a cat tree, but a damn good looking one.I have to point out there are actually no instructions included. BUT, they point you to a video and with one first watch-thru and some timely pausing on a second run as we assembled, it was fairly easy to put together. Once we had it up, it was surprisingly sturdy. I've poked and prodded at carpeted cat trees on every PetSmart visit, and have always been a little skeptical about their structural integrity. This thing refuses to wobble! They gave it a nice heavy and broad base, and there aren't any platform areas balanced on cardboard poles.I only wish they made much taller models. My ball of fur loves climbing- I suppose he sees it as a challenge, having only 3 legs. However, the top cave section is his favorite spot in the house. I have it in a corner with so he has a choice of two windows- look out at cars and occasionally people, or look at the neighbors and his favorite little tree. He's managed to rip off two of the twig balls, but one is still hanging in there after many months. He rarely has time to loiter in the lower boxes, preferring his tube-throne.We are all very happy with this tree.

Good looking cat condo-- a little wobbly.
When the veterinarian recommended that I get some cat furniture to keep my young indoor cat active and healthy, I pictured a pink carpeted monstrosity in the middle of my small home. This is, without a doubt, a chic piece of cat furniture, and is worlds more attractive in my living room than the carpet-covered jobbies that are abailable for half the price. It was a bit of a bear to assemble, but ultimately it came together after a bit of trial and error with the cubes. The long scratching post comes in two pieces is already loose where it screws/attaches to the top platform, and I'm at a loss as to how to tighten it sufficiently-- the center of the post is plastic, so it never seems to tighten completely. The whole unit is a little wobbly when my rather...robust... orange tabby jumps from one level to another. He fits into the cubes just fine, but seems to prefer sitting ON the cubes rather than IN them. Peculiar, really, for a cat who claims every cardboard box that enters his kingdom as his own, generally by sitting in the box for extended periods of time. He goes absolutely bonkers for the little rattan balls on the string attached to this condo, which is a lot of fun to watch. Overall, this was an ok choice. It's more attractive but possibly a little less sturdy than the carpeted condos. Gives my cat a comfy place to perch, and I hope that he'll grow to enjoy playing/napping in the cubbies.
