Great for kids
Great for a kid interested in the kitchen! The pen itself doesn’t have heating elements but the tray does. The tray keeps it fairly warm and good for kid use. It comes with limited amount of chocolate so you might want to get more. It is very easy to operate but the tip can dry up between colors and have to be washed. There is a bit more clean out before the next color than I would like. Overall happy. Just needed a heating element in the pen to keep chocolate from setting up.

Great Chocolate Pen
Out the box the product looked great. Enough chocolate to get you started. Replacement chocolate can be ordered online. Detailed instructions on how to use the machine. Warmer keeps the chocolate melted and easy to work with. To avoid any clogs you have to be sure to get the chocolate into the molds quickly because the chocolate will begin to cool once in the pen. Just remember to keep the hole submerged at all times to avoid air pockets in the tube. Cleaning is a little tedious but the kids enjoy the toy so I dont mind.

Exercise in frustration
I don't want to be needlessly cruel and I feel like the company had every good intention but honestly this toy is a joke :) We watched the instructional video on YouTube, read through the printed instructions, and did everything we were supposed to do. The pen kept getting jammed every couple minutes, requiring disassembly of all parts and hot water cleansing each time. The flow of chocolate out of the pen was inconsistent and impossible to control. My kid admittedly had fun messing around and making amorphous blobs of chocolate on parchment paper, but there's no way any regular person can make the cool designs featured in the photos. We finally just gave up and used a small spoon to fill some of the molds with melted chocolate. In conclusion -- cool idea on paper, ridiculous, frustrating idea in practice! :)

Fun for a 5 year old
Mine did not come with the warmer, we could fill the pen about halfway and then reheat chocolate while standing the pan on its cap side to get the air bubbles out and then fill the pen up the other halfway. It is a bit tedious, my daughter often didn’t want to wait for the pen and just scooped the chocolate with a spoon, but it was fun to make our own designs.

It’s a gamble.
The pen did not work, but the warmer did.

Kids enjoyed but not the easiest to use
The media could not be loaded. I wouldn't say that it is the easiest to use but it's ok. Grandkids enjoyed it and that's what matters. The chocolate that came with it looks like it is old and been melted many times before so we had to buy our own. We also purchased replacement chocolate by the company and that looked the same way as well. I wouldn't purchase again bc I have younger grandkids and its not easy for them. But overall they enjoyed it.

My Daughters loved it
I bought this for my daughters (aged 12, 11, 11) to make chocolate molds for cupcakes and cakes. It is very easy to use, and the pen is easy to clean. It makes very cute shapes and you can add 2-3 colors to each shape easily. The warming tray took a while to warm up, but once the melting chocolates were melted and ready, it’s so easy to fill the pen. The pen itself could have a more refined point, but it works well regardless fordetailing.I’d buy this again as gifts for my daughters’ friends.
